So, the thing that I was dreading has finally happened. I have been bleeding since yesterday evening and have miscarried(I think). The bleeding has finally become les now but I have cramps every now and then. Is it ok to take a pain killer to relive them? Also, how would I know that everything has been flushed out? Do I have to go through the ultrasound? I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow but cant wait for the answers

:hugs: for you ... you really need to wait for your doctor to confirm it, but how many weeks were/are you??? I would only take a panadol until you know for sure..... some people do have bleeding while preg and still ok..... Obviously once you know for sure you can take stronger pain killers. Dr should be able to tell you or send you for u/s to see if you need anything else removed...... but all I can say is how sorry I am you had to go through this......:hugs:

Allalone...... I'm so so sorry :hugs: :hugs:

Is your bleeding very heavy? You can take panadol, etc for the pain...although it depends on how strong your pain is. I had severe cramps when I m/c and had to have morphine, even that didn't completely take the pain away. However, I was 3 months along and was pretty much in early labour. You don't want to take something else just incase you havn't m/c. If your cramps become severe, go the emergency dep of your nearest hospital. You can go anyway even if your cramps arn't that bad, if you tell them your pg and bleeding they will get you in pretty much straight away. That way they will immediately do an U/S and let you know what is happeneing and whether you will need a D&C....... etc.

So sorry.......... please look after yourself and remember, we are here for you!!!:hugs:

I was 8 weeks pregnant. Hmmm, looking at the amount of bleeding that happened, I doubt that I am still pregnant. But I will take you advice and wait for the doctor to confirm...I am kinda having painful cramps at the moment...so dunno what that means...

It would probably be best to go to the emergency room if that's possible..... like cmd's mum said, they can give you good pain management and let you know for sure.....

Well, the pain is not extremely bad. It is similar to the one that you have during your periods. Short cramps...but it is bearable at the moment.i was thinking of taking a naprogesic which what I used to take for my period pain...But I will wait till tomorrow morning...I can tolerate till then.:crying:

cheekychops is right...having had a m/c myself....I would highly recommend you go to an emergency department. They won't make you wait at all, if at all and will look after you!

good luck hun

Do I need to call them first and let them know that I am coming or go there straight away? The bleeding is kinda very less now so I am not sure if I am overreacting...The doctor has done the blood tests and wants to confirm the HCG level before confirmning the m/c. It is only the occasioal short cramps that are making it awful at the moment.

No - just go up and tell them your preg and bleeding.......... tell them after you go in that a blood test was done and they should be able to ring the pathologist and get the results.... eg. my son did urine sample friday and we were up at emergency with him today obviously hadn't got the results as it was the weekend so they just rang them and had them faxed through from QML. You shouldn't have to wait till tomorrow - just go talk to them up there and they should be able to help you out, possibly even put you into a ward straight away if you need a D&C... :hugs:

Chops is right hun, go, don't waste time, for all you know...you might not have even m/c....... you will know 100% one way or another.

Theres a chance bubs is still ok, as I don't think you have passed the baby......?????

let us know how you go.

:hugs: Really sorry to hear this, I so hope it is not the worst.

I agree with the other ladies... go to the emergency dept asap. Just consider that maybe bubs is still there and by going to the hospital they may be able to give you something that stops the bleeding? Also, only take panadol, don't take naprogesic until you know for sure and if the Dr says it's ok. If it is a M/C then maybe your uterus needs to be contracting.

Keeping my :fingerscrossed: for you.

Hels.... unfortunately....there is nothing they can give you if you are experienceing an early m/c...I wish there was............when I was m/c they told me that there was nothing they could do and if it was going to happen, it would happen.:(

I think one of the things they can actually do is give you progesterone pessaries if your progesterone levels arn't high enough to maintain the pgy, however, this still doesn't gaurentee the m/c not happening unfortunately!! It sucks big time.

:fingerscrossed: this is just a scare for allalone and her bubs is fine

I am sorry you are going through this. As the othes have said, hospital is the best idea. As my cramps got worse i needed morphine as well. I also needed a d/c so its best that you go and get it all checked out.

big :hugs: for you.

I bled heavily when I was pg with my son at 7 weeks. Was told I had miscarried.

Then 3 weeks later, started to wonder why I was still so sick/boobs still big etc.

Saw my little bean kicking away happily:eek:

He's now 2 and driving me insane

Thanks for all the support guys. I took your advice and went to the emergency. After waiting for 1.5 hrs, the nurse finally saw me and gave me a refera for the Early Pregnancy Problem Support clinic to visit in the morning. She said to take Panadol for the pains.

I went to the hospital again this morning. The bleeding had quite subsided by then. The doctor was really nice. He checked me and did a vaginal ultrasound and confirmed that the miscarriage was now complete and i had an empty uterus. He said that the bleeding is going to continue for a few days and then stop. Aftre 4-6 weeks I will then have my periods. Then I can start TTC again.

So it is official now that I have lost my angel:gloomy: I am now already bracing myself to get my periods ASAP so that I can start the process again. I want to thank each one of you for all the support. I would have felt helpless without bub hub. Will keep you posted.

Thanks girls. I have been able to bear the loss only because of you girls sharing everything....Otherwise it would have been hard in this country where I know no one and have no family around.

I am now already planning my second. The doctor advised me to wait before strating the next TTC. I now have dreams about my lost bub but i think my heart is always gonna grieve for my lost angel....:crying:
