I have got almost 10 month old twin boys and one of them at the moment is at the end of the 1st week of a cold, he is almost over it. I have had a problem for the last month that he cant settle himself back to sleep. I went to sleep school at the start of July and that worked well, he learnt pretty much straight away, then at the end of July he caught a cold and ever since then i am having problems getting him to settle with the control crying technique. The one i used is " Its time to sleep". No matter how much i pat him down it just sets him off. The only thing i can do is hold him, which isnt possible when i have another twin to look after. I know that when babies are not well they dont respond to CC tech but when he got better at the start of the month i tried it again and he dosent want a bar of it. My problem is now that i am back at work and he is still keeping me up at night.

Has anyone got any suggestions, other sleeping techniques that may work?

I have tried everything under the sun to get him to settle but i am really struggling now.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!:banghead:

im just curious if you were persistent with it as i know that when it has worked before then it stops working you find you are more impatient at getting them to do it again as you just want it back to the way it was so badly that you dont take your time with it. Perhaps if you keep it up for at least a week before you start trying all different types of techniques. Sorry i wasnt much help.
I feel for you as sleep deprivation is just so awful and especially trying to get them to sleep at night is frustrating.

I am no where near the ten month stage at this time. But I got a winnie the pooh projector for x mas from my cousin for my bub. It plays lullaby song and projects pictures of tigga, piglet and eor on the ceiling as it does. we just press the button and bub looks up at the ceiling and goes off to sleep with it.
The projection goes for either five minutes or fifteen minutes. We have it set for fifteen minutes and it works a treat.
