Hi, just wondering if any other mums or mums to be have suffered from restless legs syndrome, and if you have any tips on easing it?
Oh yeah, I had it alright. It used to drive me nuts! For me it was worst between about 7pm and midnight. So, you're not alone. I never found anything that helped
I hope someone has some good tips for you.

Hi poppysmumma,
I am a mum to be and yes I gave been suffering from it on and off for weeks. It's now affecting my right leg more with constant twitching abd pulling which wakes me up from my sleep.
I did find taking elevit worked as the magnesium and iron in them is what helps ease RL however the iron made me sick/ nauseous. Still suffering ms here at 35 wks. Try any iron and/ or magnesium tablets.
Also if you sit down for too long before bed without moving I found it to be worse so before bed I stretch my calf muscles thighs etc for about 10 minutes. That seems to help too.
It is a terrible feeling abd not commonly known. There is a RLS website in Australia for sufferers which has good tips! Google it

I agree it drives me batty and it's hard to explain to ppl how ot feels
I have it, even though Im not pregnant anymore. I inherited it from my Dad.
I have found that too hot a shower before bed stirs them up like crazy, that and being too hot in the blankets, it gets the circulation going which makes the muscles heat up and want to move.

I have it too. It drives me nuts. it depresses me because i am only 10 weeks.... 30+ more weeks of it. It is sooo uncomfortable. Havent found anything that helps yet :(
I second magnesium.
IME ingesting food additives makes it worse (food colouring, flavours, MSG etc..)

ahhhhh yes restless leg syndrome my doctor told me i had it last visit i had it with my son as well it drives me crazy i try to stretch my muscles out so much but nothing helps i think she told me to eat bananas? i could be wrong she told me so many things that visit i dont know if im coming or going  but yeah its awful and drives me mental :hugs:
Hi all! First post so forgive me if it looks a bit bland - I had to share though cause I've put up with restless leg since I was about 13 yrs old, and it's really bad now (at 26 weeks pregnant) (but not 13 years old!! ) - but an ice pack seems to help! I use one of those blue gel ones wrapped in a tea towel or pillow case against the leg thats bothering me the most. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world but I like it better then the restless leg. Hope it helps!
