Hi all
we are moving to T'ville end Oct and need some help from anyone about where to live!! we cant find any useful info on the internet about what's nice and whats not and the real estate agents dont really offer much useful advice.
What should be be looking out for in some suburbs ie: sandflies and bad mozzies in areas like Sth Townsville ? Or what are the not so nice family areas.
I think we will have about $400-450 per week to spend. We are looking for ( ideal world...!) pool and fully aircon. We dont mind where really, but as long as close to facilities- not too remote. We have 2 young ones, a 3 yo and 8mo. So I guess we need to also consider the whole prep issue...
Anyone who can help, I would love to hear from you. Thanks!!!!:fingerscrossed:

Hi  I've just found your thread and thought Id see how you were going in finding a place to live in Townsville?
I would reccomend Annandale but I'm biased:yes: I had a quick look on www.realestate.com.au ; there dont seem to be many listings within your budget range but the ones they show look pretty good and are in great areas. Anything I can do to help; just PM me. :D Best of luck in finding somewhere!!

Cheers, Peta

Thanks for this. I havent got so far yet- just trying to see what your money gets etc. A few people have said Annandale is nice so thats good to know. I just need to keep looking at that website to get a better idea of what to expect etc. Thanks anyway!

Bump as I would love to know too! I am moving there and would like something nice too in a child friendly area!

But I also want some to share rent so something preferably near uni to get a uni student to share the rent.

Any ideas of where I can list to find a flatmate would be appreciated! :fingerscrossed:
