View Full Version : Bubbies turning???
Anyone had bubs turn after 31 weeks? Had an ultrasound today and both bubs are now breech =(
I've had one of my obs say that after 30 weeks it's unlikely to happen???

Sheer Bliss's duo turned in that last few weeks & were born at 35 weeks.
Generally speaking, if presenting twin is head down T2 will follow suit during delivery & flip over.
Twin A has been breech for about 6 weeks now. Twin B has turned within the last 4 weeks, he was head down at the last scan. I think i might just have to get use to the idea of having a ceaser. If by chance Twin A does turn then it'll be a bonus. Was just hoping to have a quick recovery.

Whether you have a VB or CS, take it slow. There is no first place for the quickest recovery.
Yeah I know I just worry about being able to get out the house and lift the pram etc. DP can only have a week off when bubbies are born. Then he's having 2 weeks over Chrissy.

Make things/people come to you. Get someone who can lift the pram & drive to come with you.
I can tell you this, there is no way i could have lifted a pram or driven after 2 weeks.

My Twin B turned about 30 weeks but Twin A never did. Maybe try the spinning babies website? My Ob gave me up until 36 weeks for them to turn but said it was very unlikely from about 32 weeks.
My C-section recovery was fantastic. I was in bed for the first 24 hours and then once I was up and moving I felt good. I could of driven home from the hospital if I wanted to. I think I started driving about 3 weeks after since hubby was home anyway. I couldnt lift my pram or the washing for the 6 weeks but other than that felt good.

Either way take it easy.
I had a caesar and went to pull my pram out of the boot for the first time at 6 weeks and actually hurt myself. Not too bad but enough to make me realise I needed a lighter and easier pram.
Twin B for me was breech at 32 weeks and head down at 34 - I know you really just need Twin A head down for a VB, so good luck!
Thanks guys at least I know there's still a chance even if it's small. OB said I'll have a scan at 34weeks so I'll wait til then to give up hope lol!
Spinning baby website???
Its possible.
My twin A was head down at 33 weeks and by 34 had turned to breech. I had an elective c-section at 37 weeks.
I am from the I LOVE C-SECTION club (not that I have had anything different lol) and want to reassure you our doctors and techniques have come a long way.
My c-section was a positive experience, and I recovered very well and quickly...because I had too!
Good luck :bee:

I had Twin A (presenting) in a transverse lie and Twin B Head down. They were this way from 28 weeks. I tried natural ways to turn them, but it didn't work for us!! Had a caesar at 36+3. recovery was great!! If you have one make sure you keep up on all your pain meds. The worst thing I did on the first day was think the pain wasn't too bad so didn't take anything when the nurse asked if i wanted anything. Then when I was in desperate pain I had to wait for them to organise it all!! But like the girls said, get up as soon as you can. It hurts at the start but gets better all the time!
Good luck!

 I had my c section just over a week ago.
Twin 1 was breech the whole time - she never turned. I was told it was unlikely as well. Ended up getting to 37 + 3 so I am not sure she had would have moved in the end anyway.
I was gutted about having a c section at first but healthy babies are the main priority. Recovery is similar to what others have said. You need to stay on top of the pain meds. You can get up and have a shower the next morning. Lifting heavy washing & the pram are out for me at the moment but I can't imagine going far from the house right now anyway. Online food shopping means I don't have to!
Best of luck. It really is an amazing experience. We are so in love with out little ones...the way they came out doesn't matter.

My twins were head down until 37 weeks, then twin A decided to turn breach. Was still going to be induced and deliver naturally but there were problems with Twin b heart rate so had a C section. Recovery was fine. My first pregnancy i had a normal delivery, and to be honest the c section recovery was almost easier (possibly due to more sitting to feed the babies! But still have to run after my 2 year old as well) Also had loads of help... accept any and all genuine offers of help. The important thing is to have 2 gorgeous healthy babies, no matter how they come out. Good luck, and enjoy every gorgeous moment of your babes when they arrive

My triplets changed positions constantly, right up to delivery one day shy of 33 weeks - anything is possible!
Best of luck with everything:)
