DD is 14 months, she doesn't like to eat and we have going thru a difficult time with it, I am finding she is slowly getting better with the foods she can eat herself (most on floor but a bit goes down) although she doesn't really eat toast.

I usually give her porridge, weetbix, tins of apple and oatmeal and a bit of yoghurt.

I try fruit at most times of day but I think she needs something a bit different.

Any suggestions of something different she can feed herself.

Thanks

Lisa

My kids love toast fingers dipped in a soft boiled egg

Scrambled egg? They can either pick up the chunks in their fingers, or they are easily attacked with a fork, even by little ones.

My 18 month old likes big cereals (without milk, too messy otherwise) that she can eat herself from a bown, such as nutri grain. Also makes a good snack.

Pancakes, pikelets and french toast are alternates to bread/toast. Or waffles if you have the grill. DD isn't fussed on french toast but likes the rest.

Bacon is always a hit here.

DD doesn't like eggs, no matter how I cook them, but you could try an omelet, that you could share too. Cheese, or some veg in it that she likes. I tend to finish omelets under the broiler to make sure the top is firm & cooked, before folding and serving.

English muffins, split in two, toasted and then put under the grill with cheese & tomato are also good. We have for lunch sometimes with veggies added for a mini pizza.

My 15 month old loves nutrigrain for breakfast. I add milk to it and let it sit for about 1 minute then drain the milk. They are a little bit soggy but easy enough for her to pick up. She eats a huge bowl of them every morning for breakfast.
