Ok so I know it's just an old wives tale, but I've been getting alot of, "oh my you're low so its a boy!" or.. "wow you're all in front, it's a girl!"
lol, so i thought it'd be nice to find out the way you ladies are carrying or have with previous pregnancies, and what you had/ are having.

Im not finidng out the sex until the birth, so I am a little curious as to how true this myth can be! :)

When I was preg with Rocketman, I had a stranger comment to her friends as they walked past me "look at her - I guarantee she's carrying a girl!".

When I was preg with Mighty Mouse I had a pharmacy lady and at least two other people tell me from the way I carrying it was going to be a boy.

With both (in fact with all three of my children) I carried out the front, low and round. I had two girls and a boy.

i was all out front for all 3 of my children (1 girl and 2 boys) from behind i didn't even look pregnant or fat - i still had a curve to my waistline. i was huge with all 3 from very early on. i have severe ms with dd, nothing with ds1 and a little bit with ds2. all 3 were completely different pregnancies.

I carried for the first 2 boys very high and out there , but this one is a 3rd boy and I am carrying very close to my body, he is also lower as I am not having breathlessness as I was with the other 2.

isnt the myth out front boy and weight all over a girl???

i carried all out front and had a boy and my friend carried "all around" and had a girl.
according to that myth we carried like the myth said.

I don't remember the others, but a guy in a shop told me i was having a boy the other day - he was dead set on it.... and i am indeed having a boy... i am carrying rather low.

With DS1 I carried all around & relatively low. With DS2 I carried all out front & up high (you couldn't really tell from behind I was pregnant), everyone told me I was pregnant with a girl & we didn't find out til he was born so everyone was very shocked to find out he was a boy.

Low and all out the front = 2 boys :)

Well nearly 2 boys in a couple of days :)

I personally think its all about your body shape in how you carry, I am short so maybe its just an illusion I'm carrying low because I'm so close to the ground already .

The tiny belly I had with DS1 was low with DS2 I was very much out in front but low.

I don't really remember carrying differently with any of my kids. I do remember someone telling me i would have a boy (based on my shape) with DS2, which was true. I've also had someone say that i'll have another boy this time, but we've been told girl.

This pregnancy, i think i'm carrying a little more weight around my waist iykwim...which would indicate girl....but it's not hugely significant though.

ds1 & ds2 i carried them both low & put on weight all over and lots of it :p

this bub is a girl, my bump is high and ive only put on weight in my boobs and bum and at 20w+4d ive put on 1kg.

EVERYONE said I'd be having a boy.

I was carrying only in hte front and didn't put weight on all over.

I had a girl (didn't find out until birth either).

DS - all out in front
DD - more over the hips
Bump *girl* - More over the hips

With DD1 i carried quite high and all out front, everyone guessed boy but ofcourse they were wrong. She also didnt engage until labour started so that could be a reason why she was so high.
I definitely don't believe that if you carry weight all over your're having a girl, if you are fat maybe, but not a specific gender!
There is also a myth that if your bump looks like a watermelon (oval shaped) it is a girl, but if it is like a basketball (round) it is a boy. this seemed to be fairly true for DD1.

I carried similarly with both my girls, despite one being breech and the other head-down - with both I carried quite high and was 'contained' (ie. not sticking out so far in front.)

With this bub, a boy, I'm all out the front like a basketball and much lower. You can't tell I'm pregnant from behind. There's a big difference between this pregnancy and the other two in how I'm carrying.

I carried exactly the same way with my boy and girl. It seems I carry the 'girl' way according to every man and his dog who commented when i was pg. I had DS first - was told 90% of the time I was having a girl. 'fraid not!!

Well i think im carrying the same as what i did with my triplet but lost one so had twins and they were unknown gender and so is this baby.
Hubby said when i was pregnant with the triplets from the day we found out it was either two girls and one boy and then when i lost one he said it would be a girl and boy which it was and this time from the day we knew hubby said its a boy.......
No idea if he is right until baby is born but ive only dreamt about a boy and so many off my friends also tell me its a boy!

Judging by how I am carrying everyone was guessing boy... well It's a girl

Yeah from the start i swore it was a girl, but now for some reason all i dream about is baby boy's and all i picture myself with is a boy..so who knows!
By some of the ladies comments i guess it really comes down to your body shape, how you carry & the position of the bub really.
My cousin is due 5 days before me, and when i seen her last (about a month ago) you could barely tell she was pregnant at 26 weeks! whereas i am huge. She is having a girl, so i assumed mine is a boy being so differently shaped, but we'll have to wait and see ;)

i had the exact opposite of this quote :)
Ds was high and all in front
DD was low and wide. :)

I barely showed with DD and was really sick so lost heaps of weight and never gained any during pregnancy. Most people swore I was having a boy, and the u/s people said boy even at the 36w u/s the day before she was born they said she was "definately" a boy :D

She came out with girlie bits and tricked everyone except one cousin said she had a "feeling" I was having a girl and it would be her special little neice and she was so totally right! With all her kids, people said her first would be a boy and she said girl, same with her second, and people said her third would be a girl and she knew she was having a boy, never found out officially but she knew within herself she was having girls with her first 2 and a boy with her last. When her DD was pregnant with her first she said she was having a boy and she had a boy, now with this one she's saying girl but her DD is saying she's having another boy and they are not finding out until the birth if it's a boy or girl. My cousin just gets a feeling and goes with that and has been right every time! Will be interesting to see if this one is a girl or a boy!
