Hi Guys,

Just started charting my BBT along with the CM (which I've been doing for ages) and have noticed something odd, not sure if it's odd enough to ask a Doc. Basically, I keep getting BBT's of 34.8-35.3. My temp right now (mid-late arvo) is 35.8.

I bought a new themometer because I thought the old one must be stuffed, but it's saying the same thing. Underarm readings are similar to 0.3 degrees and the themometer is measuring 36.8-37 on my kids and hubby.

Am I just a cold fish:D , or could this be a problem - anyone had this before? How much lower is your BBT than your daytime temp? Does anyone know the normal range, I saw something online that stated 35 degrees and below as hypothermic! Weird huh?

My temps were really low my first month of testing ie 36.1. I went to my naturpath and DR and they both diagnosed me with a thyroid condition (cant remeber if it is over or under active now) but I take a tablet twice a day and now my temps sit at 36.6.

It also got rid of my other symptoms that had never been diagnosed before, anemia, head aches etc.

If in doubt just go to your DR and he can send you for a Thyroid blood test, takes 5 mins and he should have the results the next day :)

Thanks Vespera. I just had a little look online for thyroid function issues and I fit really well into hypothyroidism. I'll get it checked out - thanks!

I think its only a problem if it stays that low all the time. but a thyroid test is an easy thing to check and most people should get it done anyway :)
