Painful eyes?! early pregnancy

I have recently found out I am preg with bub #2 in my first I had severe pre eclampsia. For 3 days non stop I have been having a terrible headche & today woke up with painful eyeballs where it hurts to even look side to side or bending down to pick something up felt like something was banging in my head! Is this normal? anyone else had this experience?

I had this as well in early pregnancy - my doctor told me its because there is an increase in blood pressure in early pregnancy but it does settle down. I had some shocking headaches. I did end up with pre-eclampsia at 28 weeks though, I don't know if it may have been related to the early headaches.

It must be very common though, I went for an eye test because of my headaches before I found out I was pregnant and one of the first things the guy asked me was whether I was pregnant!

If you're worried, maybe go and see your GP or midwife though, even if just for some reassurance.
