Hi i am a single mum of 2 kids. My youngest in 7months and my eldest is 2 and she has just been diagnosed with aspergers. She is a really demanding child who is always trying my patience. As this is very new to me I am very much in the dark about how to treat her. Its impossible to say no to her as she will not accept it. She can go on and on for hours if she wants something. Its really hard to deal with as diversion does not work either. I have an appt in 3 weeks with her peadritician who will have answers and refer me to who we need but its starting to get me down and i dont think i can last 3 more weeks. I have tried searching the net for answers but nothing seems to be relevent to a child so young. I just dont know how i am supposed to discopline her or reason with her. Little things like explaining to her she cant play with tiny toys why her brother is on the floor ends in tantrums. I am really worried about what to do.

If anyone has any answers i would love to hear from them. Even if you know of anywhere i can get the info i need. Thanks.

where are you from hun!!
there is an aspergers/autism advisory board in every state now that can give you so much information. Your little one will be elligible for the 12000 dollar early intervention funding that will help provide support for you and your daughter!!
My son has Aspergers, sensory processing/speech and language issues, Reactive attachement disorder, separation anxiety and MASSIVE MELTDOWNS!! he was late diagnosed he was 7 and we missed the early intervention program!!!
So I have had to beg for support!!!
Ok lol just checked your post code
On Monday call Autism QLD their number is 0732730000 they will be able to get you advice, options in your area and support. feel free to priv me if you need to talk!!! life can get really really stressful!!
