Hi

My 10 month old bub has recently started day care and I have found she is now waking up heaps more during the night. Could this be separation anxiety, or simply the change in routine? Has this happened to anyone else's bub when they started daycare?

At the moment, I have been going in each time and settling her with a bit of milk, water or a cuddle as she screams and won't self settle. I'm hoping that it'll pass once she's settled in to the new routine but I am kinda worried I'm setting up a habit, as she could usually self settle during the night in the past.

Has anyone got any advice...I am reluctant to do CC as if it is a separation anxiety issue, I think this may make things worse. But I also don't want her to fall into the habit of crying all night for mummy lol

It could be the change in routine - Ive been looking for a bit of help with night time waking myself (see my previous thread). Mine is nearly 7 months and has just started waking through the night again after months of never doing it. In the last couple of weeks his daytime routine has changed because he's dropped a sleep - maybe this is why he's been waking at night - sorry Im not more help - hope it gets better for you with time! Its so frustrating not knowing why they do things! Im keeping my fingers crossed that it will settle donw once he gets used to the new routine.
