Calling all May Mummies!!! Come out, come out wherever you are!!! I musn't be the only one?

C'mon. Let's get the ball rolling!!!

I'll start.... I got a very feint 2nd line on a hpt on Monday, 21/08/06 at only 9dpo:eek:. So I did tests every day 'till today, CD28, when I got a 'PREGNANT' on a clearblue digital:smiliedance:!!! YAY!!!

According to the date of my LMP, I should be due 05/05/07.

I have an appointment with my Dr next Friday (it was the only day DP could leave work early).

Can't wait to hear from you all!!! Don't leave me here lonely!!!

Hi all, as I started a new thread this morning because I did not know how to use this stuff I hope you can all work out what I am on about. If not see "I think we did it" attached to May 07 thread.
Today i did a wee stick test and was DEVISTATED :crying: :crying: :crying: to see it negative. So dd age 4 and I made the 35 min drive to the chemist where I bought 3 tests and found a loo and did it again to be just as upset. So I think maybe the pregnyl was still in my urine last night when I tested +. Now I have some cramping and am just not sure if it a good sign or "that" sign of trhe monthlys. I will do another test in the morning and see what that brings. I am on day 12post ovulation and IUI so would you all expect a definate + test today???On a normal cycle I am day 26. Oh this is going to send me crazy. :banghead:

What's your EDD Tryingtoconceive?

Hi

I am not sure of my EDD. I think it is about early to mid May.
I only went to a doctor to confirm the preganancy. I have an appointment with my usual doctor for Wednesday this week.

Is it true that your first scan is at 6 weeks? I will be 5-6 weeks when I see my dr (I think) so I guess first scan must be soon if it is true. How exciting.

I also have another question. Is coffee really bad for the baby? I drink anywhere from 2 to 4 cups a day depending on the workload at work!!!! drunk it right up till I found out too. I remember reading that it was bad but yesterday my mum said it was rubbish and she drunk it through both of her pregnancies - but that was 23-25 years ago

Also to save you all from reading my constant barrage of questions can someone direct me to the best link for all general inexperinced type questions please.

Thank you

 Hi there,
Just thought I would congradulate all of you and wish you all the best for the next 10 months. To mysteeq I am really happy for you and I hope to talk to you again in the future..I will visit every now and then ;)
I did a home preg this morning and it is definatly negative so I will talk to MIL who is 84 and has only one GC..our iui dd Abbey, so she is will ing to help us out with an IVF proceedure which I have not done before so I am going to go to that forum now and get ready to try again. You never know I might make it back here at the end of May!!!! That would be Kool!!!!
As for coffee in preg, I drink at least 8 cups a day, but I changed to decaf at the beginning of my first prg, but found came 6 weeks I could not drink it at all :barf: that and red meat! So I changed to tea until she was born and then I craved my coffee again...the next day beleive it or not!!!

Good luck everyone and take care.
iuimummy and family.

Sorry everyone for going MIA... I've been working afternoon shift all weekend. 2pm to 10:30pm.

A big WELCOME to you Kila!!! Congrats on your BFP!!!

Mysteeq - My appointment for my GP is on Friday. It's the first day DP could leave work early, so I suppose my BT will be then. I'm thinking that she might also give me a refferal for an U/S the following week being that I'll be 6 weeks on that Friday... I hope so as they say an early one is really accurate for dating. Oooohhh, how exciting!!! :fingerscrossed: this one sticks for you!!! I'll have everything crossed for you!!!

Tryingtoconceive - I have heard that 1 or 2 cups is safe, but I suppose you have to take into account the other caffinated drinks you consume aswell... such as tea & cola (& chocolate!!!). I was going to but decaf today for my one morning coffee that I can't function without. I heard that decaf still contains caffene??? I switched to decaf Lipton tea last month & couldn't taste the differance. Can't wait to find out your EDD!!!

:hugs: iuimummy. I hope you get that BFP. I think what mysteeq said was what we all want to say (isn't she great with words?!!!).

No symptoms yet for me... still the sore bbs, that's it. DP thinks they are bigger & harder (he always said he liked my small ones, but I think the :D on his face says it all!!!)

Thanks to those wonderful ladies with all their best wishes & congratulations... THANKYOU!!!

:ecomcity: sorry for the long post!!!

Soooo excited - i can't wipe the smile from my face. I have been telling Charli that mumma has a bubba in her tummy. lol - she has no idea what i mean & ended up poking my bum & saying 'bubba'. I think i had better stop so i don't confuse her!

Hi, I got my BFP this morning which was a complete surprise even though we were TTC. Today is CD68, so as you can see, a weird cycle. FF says I am due on 10th May so, will be 4 wks tomorrow. Our daughter is 9mths next week so there will be an 18mth age gap.

Don't know when I will go to GP, I might wait a couple of weeks to have the blood test, and then book in with my OB.

I am very happy and suprised to get my BFP!!!!

Congrats to all the other May Mums - wish you all well over the coming months.

:fingerscrossed: the next 8 weeks go by safely and quickly.

CONGRATULATIONS Kathrynb! Looking fwd to sharing the fun of being preggas!

Feel free to pop in from the April thread! Hopefully you won't mind if i do the same! Due on 8th May & DD was early - so you never know! I spent last easter & Christmas in hospital with her, so it will just be my luck to have another easter baby & miss all the chocolate again. I hope this bubba stays in longer so i can pig out on choccie before he/she is born. But easter is Early April this year - so it had better not come that early!

I amde my appt with my OB yesterday! His bloody rates ahve gone up - $210 for the first appt!! OMG! But he does a scan - so at least we will see our first pics at 8weeks.

I was thinking of buying a preganacy yoga/pilates DVD from ebay as i haven't lost the post baby belly from DD (she is 17months - so i am a bit slow!) and thought it might be a good way to get in shape gently. Anyone have any reccomendations?

I am going to the doctors on Monday to confirm... but :fingerscrossed: I will be hanging around in the due in May 07 thread for a while to come...:yelclap:

Well, It's all confirmed... I'm pregnant!!! (HAHAHA!!! we all knew that anyway!!!). She did the usual B/P thing, asked me the day of LMP, gave me my EDD, gave me a form to have bloods taken at pathology & asked if we had any questions!!! That's it!!! I was going to ask for an early dating scan, but lost my nerve. She said that we would get an accurate EDD when I have my 12 week scan... I can't wait that long!!! You only have to wait 2 weeks!!! I'm so jealous!!! Isn't it funny... It's nearly as bad as the 2WW before the BFP!!!

Congratulations marlie on your BFP!!! Welcome aboard!!!

Hi Foxy!!! I'm sure I said a big congrats in the other thread, but CONGRATULATIONS again!!! I didn't have BubHub last pregnancy... wish I did & couldn't give it up now!!! I'm the same as you... no symptoms except for the boobies!!! A bit sore & tender.

CONGRATS cantwiat!!! I'm sure there's an echo in here!!!:D I know I said it in the TTC thread, but I'm sure you still like seeing it!!! I knew you were pg anyway!!! You deserved it!!!

Hello everyone & welcome azure!!!

Nothing much to report here... ummmmmm?

Had a great Fathers' Day. We went to a car show at Newcastle Entertainment Centre... WOW!!! After that we were going to have a picnic at the park... but it decided to rain. A picnic at home in the lounge room was just as good!

How was everyone elses day?

Gee it's terrible that I have nothing to write... my life is boring!!! Oh well, not long now until something happens!!! 4 weeks until my next DR's appointment, 6 weeks until I get married & 7 weeks until my U/S!!!

Wow Bexta, you've got heaps going on in your life! Not boring at all! I hope you're having fun planning your wedding - I got married in March this year, and had the most fantastic time! I didn't even drink that much, just two glasses of champers - I was just so happy that I didn't need anything else!

I am off to the docs in 1/2 hour. Had some very slight brown spotting yesterday so hope that's nothing to worry about. We had been a little "active" that day, so hopefully that was what caused it! :p Mainly I am going to docs to get all my levels checked cos am veggo and don't want to run short of iron, B12 etc. Plus I will get the test to confirm that I actually am p/g! It feels so weird at the moment - the tests say that I'm p/g but it also feels like AF could come any moment. :fingerscrossed: that I have been covered in some very very sticky baby dust :D !!

Drs appointment was fine - but he didn't even want to do a blood test to confirm! So here's hoping the 3 x p/g tests that I did weren't all faulty! :D . I did have to have blood tests for all the usual stuff though, and did my first pee on demand, which I will no doubt get better at!!

I have already relented and told my mum, sister and brother - and would you believe that my brother is already in the car driving 5hrs to see me as we speak! He's so excited... even more so than DH!! I can understand it though - my other brother died of cancer 6mths ago and it's been a tough year, so a new addition to the family will be great.

I do have a question too - when is everyone having their first scans? My Dr doesn't want to see me for another 6 weeks, and then he said I have the option to have scans done at 11-14 weeks. Is this normal? I thought I was meant to have one at 6-8 weeks?

I am such a newbie to this game - 31 years old and I know NOTHING about having a baby!!

Take care all, and chat soon

Marlie - it is normal to have your first scan at 11-14 weeks. Some people have earlier scans for various reasons, ie. want to see if bub is okay. I am so tempted to ask for an early but am trying to be patient and wait for my 12 week scan on 17 Oct - seems like ages away.

Yep the m/s has arrived here - not fun!! Luckily I haven't :barf: just yet though!!

Cantwait - how exciting for you to have a scan already?!

Yeah it is exciting. The doc I went to was so good. The lady taking my blood for the tests was like "This guy ALWAYS sends ppl for more tests than are necessary, I suppose he's got you booked in for a scan already?" so he sounds very thorough, and when I booked in for the scan the lady at SKG said "You know you're not going to see anything don't you?" I said "I don't care, I WANT MY SCAN!". I have to wait for a copy of the scan to take to the Ob/Gyn on Thursday afternoon (That appt has been booked for 3 months, total coincidence I got pg right on time! I was going to see him to find out why we weren't getting pg)

I was feeling a bit sick last Friday/Saturday but since then I am fine, so I hope it stays away.

Marlie that is so great your brother is coming to see you! That's awesome.

Yup Morning sickness has started here :barf:

I have been wearing Sea Bands the past few days and it seems to help.

Anyone else been really tired??

I remember being tired in the first 12wks with DD but not this bad. I feel dizzy too. Ahh the joys!!:banghead:

Being tired was the first thing I noticed, then the dizziness when I got up from my chair at work and when I put my head back to wash my hair in the shower. The only other thing I've had is I can't stop eating! DH calls me the Eating Machine. I usually don't eat very much at all but I have been "out-eating" him every time, and he is a big eater :o

morganj

I've turned into an eating machine too!!! I'm eating more than dh aswell and that is so unusual!! He is usually the one with the huge appetite. And when I get hungry - I feel like I have to eat there and then. I just can't wait - very strange.

And the dizziness - makes me feel drunk!!

Marlie that is so great your brother is coming to see you! That's awesome.

Hmmmmm maybe not so great about the bro - it has come out that the real reason he is here is that he has just broken up from girlfriend... so now moping around our house and playing his guitar constantly when I am trying to WORK! I am having a scan at my first OB appt - but only because he has the machine in his offices - and apparently he only prints out a pic for first time mums  so i won't get one! I didn't have a scan with DD until around 11weeks & it's the same dr.
I have been really tired too, but DD has not been well & waking in the night - talk about bad timing. The last 2 mornings i have felt a little queasy before breakfast - but surely it must all be in my head? It can't possibly be m/s so soon.can it?? I really hope not, 'cause i an NOT getting sick this time. I don't want to :barf: 5-6times a day for 4months thankyou!
Other than that - still no real symptoms just yet - I sometimes wonder if i imagined the BFP (but the dr seen one too!) and AF is just a week or so late

Hope the ms stays away for everyone and :hugs: to everyone feeling it already!

Hi everyone, I have been feeling very nauseous every day. On Father's Day we had a relaxing morning at home, then visited my Dad and as I had a friend visiting from Townsville, we went to the movies in the afternoon. Half way through the movie I had to run to the toilets to :barf: . Was not good at all........... Then I felt sick most of the night and couldn't sleep.

I have been trying to have naps during the day when DD has a sleep and I just have to keep eating all the time to stop feeling sick. I really hope the M/s goes away soon:fingerscrossed:

I might go to the GP next week to confirm everything and then book in with my Ob at around 8 weeks - he'll give me a scan in his rooms to see if the dates seem right.

Hope the rest of you are feeling great!

Hi May 07 Mummies!

Sorry to hear so many of you already have morning sickness, I hope it doesn't last too long!!

The only symptoms I have so far are "heavy" feeling boobs and very, very tired... It think that some of this tiredness comes from chasing around an 18 month old though...

Oh Mysteeq, I hope everything is alright. I heard the same about brown blood being "old". Hope you find out good news at your appt tomorrow, think positive!

Geez Marlie, no wonder he was straight down to your place! Like Taylors Mum said, keep him busy doing stuff for you and he might perk up a bit knowing he's helping.

Well I told my boss this morning and he was so happy for me, he reached across the desk and kissed my hand and wanted to ring DH to congratulate him. He keeps coming in asking if I want a cup of tea, am I warm enough, have I eaten for two (no danger on that one!! So glad you other ladies are Eating Machines as well!)

I do have a question tho, I heard that when it's so early, like 6w, they do a transvaginal scan instead of the usual ultrasound? Does anyone know if that's right? They have told me to drink 1 1/2 litres of water b4 I go in and for a transvaginal scan you need an empty bladder, so I'm a bit confused.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

caintwait, i thiink i know what you are talking about i think i had one of those with my first. The ob i went to had one in his office. Thanks Kelle. The girl who told me about the transvaginal one has confused me. I did some research and it looks like I can't be having that because you need a totally empty bladder and they've told me I need to drink all that water so it must be just the usual scan.

I wish I could stop this crazy eating frenzy that I'm on... I'm not even hungry!!!

Cantwait - Maybe they'll try a regular ultrasound first & if that dosn't work they'll do the transvaginal (after you empty your bladder)????? DUNNO!!!

Well, me & morganj will just sit here & watch all you lucky ladies go for your scans. I wouldn't care if I couldn't see anything either... I WANT A SCAN TOO!!!! As for the DR who dosn't give second time mums a pic... that's unfair!!!

I'm finding people are like that (sort of) when it comes to a 2nd pg... It's no less exciting for me, having my 2nd... actually, it's such a large gap that it feels like a 1st pg!!! VENT!VENT!VENT! Hahaha!!!

The sonographer asked if I was sure I was pg and I said yeah, LMP was 25th July but she reckons I'm not as far along as I thought, maybe not even 5 weeks, must have O'd really late. She asked if I wanted the vaginal scan but I felt so sick from all that water I said no. Hopefully tomorrow at the Ob he can shed some light on what's going on.

Hope you're all feeling good today!

Hey Marlie! YAY another Eating Machine! :smiliedance:

The scans showed that I am between 4 1/2 and 5 weeks, not 6w 1d like FF said. This is good, cos it shows I am pregnant and that's all that matters! I have another docs appt tomorrow just to confirm all that. I cancelled the Ob/Gyn appt I had for tomorrow cos I don't think there's a point going, he's not going to see anything either, so I'd rather wait til I can see bubba's heart beating.

Now time for another question ladies - Does anyone else play sport? I am in a netball team and am not sure whether to ditch it straight away or wait until the end of the season in about 4 weeks time... any thoughts??

Hmm. I hope FF wasn't wrong for me - it just shows you though that its not always right! Sorry you had such a nasty sonographer!! The one I had last time wasn't too nice either - that was for my missed m/c. Am dreading going back there actually - will bring back too many awful memories.

I too am a eating machine - very hungry and very tired. I had a nice cuppa at lunch time today though and it did me the world of good. Trying not to have caffeine but I thought a nice cup of tea occasionally should be okay.

I love tea, I used to drink about 8 cups a day but in the last 3 weeks I've probably only had 3 a week, I have been more thirsty than ever for water. In my Birth book it says you can safely have 4 cups of tea or 2 cups of coffeea day, but every book tells you something different.

Yes, it looks like my EDD is now the 9th of May. The sonographer was saying "Have you had a + test? Have you been bleeding? Have you had cramps?" and poor DH is just looking at me like  What's going on? When I told him we were only maybe 5 weeks along he was pretty relieved.

As for sport, I don't know. I should play netball (I'm 6'2") but I never got into it, I'm very unco  . Your doc would know for sure. I would be so worried something would happen I would wuss out!! (Yes, I think I'm a bit paranoid). I have seen ladies at DH's mixed netball playing and they were obviously pg, the other players went easy on them too, so most of the time they put them as GS and their team won :D

Hello Girls

Well, I got a very very very very faint BFP this morning! I'm trying not to get to excited as it must be very early days, and DH won't even beleive it until he see's a darker line . . . .

As is expected its about all I can think about today, and now I'm analysing every creak and croak the body makes . . . and running of to the loo every few hours just to check!

Was anyone else like me? Did anyone else get somesort of crampy feeling, more like a stich than AF, and that's worse when need to do number 1s or 2. I've had it on and off for a few days. Other than that nothing really. My boobs that normally ache are actually quiet happy. I mean I know its early days and anything can happen . . . I guess never having been here before its hard to know what's normal.

Hi Bolli!

GONGRATS!! I got 3 VERY faint lines aswell until i went to the Dr and it came up darker on their test.

I said congrats already on the Sept testing thread, but an occassion this exciting deserves double congrats, so

My experience of my recent BFP was: bloating/constipation 2 DPO until now (no sign of stopping either!); implant bleed 6/7 DPO; and major crampy/pokey feelings from 3 DPO until 14 DPO. Quite often it felt like someone was prodding me in the belly, just to the right and a bit below my belly button. A strange sensation! Oh, and (.)(.) were super sore, and have now grown heaps  . I keep walking around squishing them to check! I also felt like AF was going to show any minute, but now I am passed my due date by a few days I am getting used to the idea that I really must be preggers! Yippee! Anyways, enough :ecomcity: ing... but just thought I would share my experience with you so you feel less "unusual"... Congrats again!

I only got a really faint line too - but it was there again at the Drs & he said it was DEFINATELY a BFP!

Bexta - I have heard that when you are pg - everything is a little - TMI 'softer' down there & that even things that you used to do can cause tearing, and possible bleeding. It might not be a bad idea to take things easy, but from what i remember it is not all that uncommen.

Bexta - I had the same thing after last time we BD'd and then went for a big walk also. Had browny CM (not pink), but I only noticed it twice after peeing (TMI - sorry!!!) and haven't had any since. We were also pretty vigorous, so will be more "sedate" next time (that, or I'll give him a magazine  ).

I hope everyone else is well - this thread is getting busier every day!!

Hey Ladies!! How are we all today??

Marlie - I felt like AF was gonna arrive big time for the first couple of weeks - but now those pains aren't as bad - thank goodness. I just have the lovely m/s. The fact your bbs are growing so much is a really good sign though. I'm out of the underwire bras already - they're so uncomfy and got too good for you either I don't think when pg.

Charlis_Mum - I'm sure the symptoms will hit you soon enough and then you'll be eating your words. I remember reading somewhere that your bbs aren't as sore the second time round - maybe that's why.

I am 7 weeks today!! :smiliedance: Am so excited!!!

Hey Marlie - I spoke to my sis last night, and she also said that its normal to feel like AFs coming. Unless the pains are sharp and stabbing and accompanied by bleeding, its all OK. She's was speaking from personal experience, but hey if your worried just get a check up with your Dr.

Well I did another swizzle stick last night and while still light there was definantly a line and a bit darker than the morning :yelclap: :yelclap:

- I decided against doing one today. I figure two lines is two lines and I'm pg and I shall think positive now. Going to the Dr at lunch today to ask all those millions of questions . . . .

Yahh for reaching 7 weeks Julie! to a week little 4 weeker, that sounds sooo far along

Morning Ladies !!

This morning i feel so sick but havent :barf: , thought i was going to but nope ! Boobs are really really tender !! They are also starting to feel quite "full". AF cramps are still present sometimes they hurt a little bit but they feel a bit like "gas pains" aswell. They hurt for like a second then dissapear for hours lol. Strange ! Im going to relax with this pg and not worry myself stupid. I want to enjoy it ! I know this time i will be have a healthy pregnancy :fingerscrossed: !

MorganJ -Congrats on 7 weeks !! Doesnt time go really fast ? By the time you know it we will all probably be sitting here going "OMG WERE DUE NEXT MONTH" haha

Marlie - If your worried you should get a check up - Its probably just everything stretching making way for that beautiful bub thats growing inside you !! Hope all is well though :)

Bolli - Yay for being pg !! when is your edd? Im only 4 weeks 4 days or something .. still so early !!! I havent booked a bt yet either .. i will next week though !! But the lines on my hpt were very very dark and came up instantly so i wonder if im due earlier then i think ? Who knows!!

Take care chicks !!

Morning ladies!

Bolli - YAY! I'm so glad those lines were darker!

Like you guys I had AF cramps on and off too, plus a weird pulling feeling, but that seems to have settled down now.

Had a docs appt last night and they confirmed that I'm 5 weeks, not 6 1/2, must have O'd on CD 24, not CD 14. I was the same as you Kayte, the lines were really dark and came up straight away, and that would have only been when I was less than 4 weeks!

MorganJ Congrats on 7 weeks! Hope that m/s goes away soon. As for the underwire bras being not good, I think that's cos they can stop growth of the milk ducts, I've moved onto these lovely sports bra looking numbers, but they are comfy!

Anyway hope you all have a great day, I don't work Monday's and Friday's so it's house cleaning day for me

Welcome to the May 07 thread sunshinecoastpreggiebelly, I am only 2 days behind you! Yes, the tiredness is very normal, you are building a baby from scratch! I am very  too.

charlis_mum, I don't have any symptoms yet either besides being very tired and heavier boobs. I have heard that they don't hurt as much 2nd time around, so :fingerscrossed: I am just counting myself lucky at this stage, but as I'm only 5w, I guess it's still a little early.

Congratulations on 7 weeks MorganJ - it seems to be going very fast!

Kayte, are your cramps sharp or dull? I seem to have a "tightness" across my belly, but I don't usually get AF cramps so I'm not sure.....

Hi Ladies!

sunshinecoastpreggiebelly - I am due on the 8th too!! (or the 7th - as i had shorted cycles i am not sure which one to use!) so that makes a few of us all due around that time! :hugs: for your :barf: - hope it improves!

Althought hearing how many of you are sick already give me hope that I won't be as sick this time! As I still have no urges to :barf: ! YAY! I really hope it will stay away! My sister is preggas too, so she will be keeping the sea bands she lent me last time - heres hoping i won't have to buy a new pair.

Hope Everyone is having a great weekend. I have just finished getting DD ready for 5 days of daycare next week!! I only work part-time, but have the next 5weeks working full-time filling in for someone. I have her clothes for the next week all set out, nappies labeled & breakfast packed! Now i just have to finish my washing & ironing so i am ready too! I don't have enough normal work trousers to make it through the week without washing, so i have cheated & pulled out my old maternity ones - hehehe. I don't need them yet - but hey I am pregnant so I can wear maternity pants!

I also went shopping yesterday & bought 2 new pairs of maternity jeans from p/patch. I only got second hand ones on-line last time from Ripe - and they were good, but really dark blue, so not very trendy. The patch ones are fantastic!! I got the dark grey ones that sit low & have the adjustable waist & are so comfy. I am gonna start wearing them as soona s i get a hem put on them!

Hi everyone!!!

Welcome & CONGRATULATIONS SUNSHINE!!!:smiliedance:

Like everyone else, I have af pains off & on... not that I really got them badly before, but I think they might just be wind pain......?

Having a great weekend, although working afternoon shift Sat & Sunday, it's just really nice to sleep in on the weekend!!! I've always liked my sleep, but I just LOVE it now!!!

Those pants sound great charlis_mum... will have to check them out! No bump yet, but I'm sure my hips are wider... I split the seam in my jeans the other day & bought some new ones today (but not maternity).

Has anyone heard of "mums tums" or maybe it's spelt "mumz tumz"? A friend at work said she got those really wide fabric belt things (you know the ones... they achieve that layered look & you can hide the undone zip on your pants)... I would have asked her about it, but my pg is staying a secret as long as possible!!! She said they were really cheap & came in heaps of colours.

Anyway, gotta get ready for work... luv you all!!!

I definitely have a small belly showing! It has been noticed apparently! Am having a real struggle finding an outfit for my brother's wedding in October - and that's five weeks away!! Eeek. I don't think I'll be able to keep it a secret at the wedding. And I think I might have to give my slip on heels a miss and wear something a little more comfy. I've also had to get new bras too - am just wearing maternity ones - they look so flattering with these dresses I've been trying on for the wedding - not!! I just look huge already - bbs, bum and tum. Eeek!! And yes I too am very tired aswell.

Hi.
I am new to bubhub and thought i'd try to post- hope this works!. Baby #2 is due early may. By my period dates it should have been late april but i had a scan which showed no foetal heart at what should have been 6 weeks but thankfully today the rpt one week later showed a foetal heart so things are looking good so far just one week behind what we thought.
Have been a little nauseated intermittently the last few weeks mildy but have had a bout of gastro thurs/fri this week(just lucky me- no-one else!)- so hopefully it all settles out soon. Last time I was very nauseated from 9-14weeks but it just stopped abruptly and i felt great.
This time I have a 14mo DS to look after too so it might get a little more complicated.
Well thats enough for now- i look fwd to reading about how everyones going.

Welcome K8 and Sunshine  !

Hey Julie - There must be a bit of this wind going around. Since friday I've had these cramps that are pretty intense and scary, maybe once or twice a day at most, the first one scared me a lot, but I've since noticed that I need to 'go' in the middle of all of them so it must be related to that.

Well I got my blood test on Friday afternoon, and it should be back today. I've been a wee bit paranoid over the weekend that I imagined those lines and they will ring and say your not UTD. I'm such a silly girl.

:fingerscrossed: its all good!

marlie

Hiyya all! I hope everyone had a great weekend... we are renovating at the moment, so did some hammer swinging and general destruction - quite fun!!

Bolli - I'm sure your BT will be fine and that you certainly didn't imagine those lines. I can relate to how you feel though... my Dr didn't even bother to test me, so I a super paranoid that maybe I'm not p/g after all! (DH says - "oh for gods sake - you're pregnant! How much more evidence do you need????). Men... they simply don't understand our constant need for reassurance  .

As for me, my crampy feelings seem to have settled, and bb's have stopped their marathon growth spurt. But I am starting to feel a bit :barf: on the odd occasion, so am hoping that is a good sign and not just my imagination! Unfortunately the hunger has not abated - I am going to be HUGE!

Thanks girls - good to know I'm not the only paranoid.

One good thing about such a long cycle (my last period was July 5th) is they want me to go for an early dating scan - My temps were pretty clear and I had a negative one day, then v. faint not even there the next, then faint but there on the 3rd day and slightly darker that afternoon - so its pretty clear I'm not nine weeks!

But since I get to see the jelly bean earlier no complaints from me. I'll wait about 2 more weeks until I'm about 6 weeks, they say you can see the heart beat then. Now I just need that blood test to confim . . . .

Hi all. Thanks for the warm welcome. Like you Bolli - with my last preg my last period was in july 2004 and fortuitously had a blood test (i thought i might have pcos and was being investigated for that) in october 2004 which was positive. So i had the early scan for dates as we had no idea!
This time not nearly so complicated as periods returned post ceasing breastfeeding reasonably quickly- though long cycles i.e 5weeks. I am starting to crave of all things salt and vinegar chips (not something i usually eat)- last time i don't remember any particular cravings- except i guess i did want to have milkshakes/smoothies fairly often (all the calcium I guess) but nothing too strange. I am starting to feel a bit more:barf: . (I really think that icon is funny) which gets better with eating but returns. At the moment I work 2 days week (1hr10min drive each way) so hopefully it just stays a feeling and doesn't start actually:barf: (sorry i had to use it again LOL) because it won't be too fun pulling over for that on the drive.
keep well everyone,

Hi Girls,

Congratulations to all the May 07 Mums:smiliedance:.

I am expecting my second in mid May. I have a son who will be 3 in October.

As many of you have said; I bought a 3 pack preg test and all 3 came up very faint (I used all 3 over a 24 hour period).

I went to the Dr on Friday for confirmation that I was actually pregnant, and was shaken by the fact that she tried 2 urine tests and both came back negative!!!

The Dr suggested a blood test did it on the spot and, because it was my birthday on Saturday (9/9), she marked it urgent and the result was available later that day.

I was over the moon to learn at 6pm Friday that it was positive - especially on the eve of my birthday.

Sorry for the long :ecomcity: :ecomcity: :ecomcity:.

Just wanted to let you all know that even if you have a faint line followed by NO line you can still be pregnant.

mysteeq- you could be having implantation bleeding - where the embryo burrows into the uterine lining and some comes away. bleeding in early pregnancy is common but nevertheless worrying. if the numbers are going up thats a good sign as everyone has posted and if you see a foetal heart on the scan it makes the risk of loss much lower but as everyone knows the first 12 weeks are the critical part but i don't think anyone stops worrying until they actually have the baby in their arms (at which point all that parental worrying that does not end until you die according to my mum kicks in).
welcome renee.

Hi guys,

I hope everyone is feeling great!

Not so good here. I found out yesterday that i lost bubs. I started spotting on Friday but wasnt that concerned as it was only light and brown (which i had with DD) but yesterday it got heavier so i have a blood test and a external and internal ultrasound and unfortunalty it confirmed the worse. :crying:

I am so greatfull to have DD.

M/C is beyond anyone's control and im glad it happened now rather then later.

I wish everyone sticky baby dust, and hope you all have a happy and safe pregnancy. Im still going to hang around this thread and see how everyone gets along.

Julie I know what you mean about the **** food, I never eat lollies or junk food, I try to eat really well, but in the last 2 weeks I have been addicted to White Orchid fudge. Oh the sugar! I can't get enough! Same with cream, I am having cream on everything, it's pretty gross but I just want that sweetness.

Hope everyone else is feeling fine!

Thanks cantwait. Glad I'm not the only one. Am also craving hot chips, curries, chocolate - the lot!! I've got a wedding in four weeks - eek! I'll be the size of a house I'm sure.

Hi Mysteeq - that great the numbers keep going up. Hopefully the spotting stops soon!

Welcome Big W. :smiliedance: On your BFP!

Well I feel a little like a fraud - my boobs are starting to get sore, and I have some shocking wind;) but other than that I'm pretty much good! No sickness, I guess the only thing I have noticed is that normally I am a food craver, big time - you spend the morning thinking about lunch the afternoon about dinner, but this week not so much - having trouble working out what i feel like actually. Still its only 5 weeks though so please let this not be famous last words . . . .

Very exciting. Did my first stat's recording this morning, weight, waist, belly . . . little bit higher than i would have liked for the start, but at least now i have an excuse! Now just need DH to take belly pic 1.

Of to the Dr today, my thyriods is a wee bit low already - I'll be asking about these horrid wind pains!

Bolli, touch wood that you continue this good run of no sickness. I'm about 6 weeks today and don't feel sick or anything, just tired. Sore boobs too, but I bought these bras with no under wire and I couldn't believe how much better I feel. I also spend most of the day "planning" what to eat for my next meal, but like Julie it's usually junk! I did cut up a whole heap of fruit this morning to bring to work, so hopefully that satisfies these sugar cravings. Julie, I've got a wedding in November and we're supposed to dress up in medieval clothes, but I don't like my chances! Good luck at the docs. Bolli.

Hope everyone is feeling relatively good. My m/s has started to settle down, but now I am getting dizzy and light headed even when sitting.

I have my appt with my GP tomorrow and after that will make an appt with my OB for 2 or 3 weeks time.

I will be 6wks tomorrow according to FF so won't really know how far along I am until I see my OB and have a scan.

Hi Ladies,

Congratulations to you all!!!! I hope you have wonderful pregnancies!

I am due about the 22/4/07 but I am sure that it's going to change somewhere along the line and the fact that I could go later. So I thought that I would pop my head in and say hi.

I am feeling really really tired, still have a little m/s (it has settled down a bit compared to past weeks) and the boobs aren't that bad anymore so that's good.

Finding it hard to eat meat but I keep trying though.

I hope you all don't mind.

Welcome to Big W and Becs. Congratulation to both of you:smiliedance::smiliedance:.

Great news again Mysteeq, :fingerscrossed: for the u/s - I'm a little envious that you will get to see the h/b - I'm really hanging out for that moment.

Morganj - have you tried preggie pops. I've never had them myself but I have heard pretty good things about them...

Can'twait - I thought that sugur was one on the ingredients for making GIRLS... probably just a wives tale, but don't go painting anything blue just yet. HeHe..

Bolli - Great idea. Didn't do the measurement thing last time. I might follow your lead and get the tape measure out.

As for me - I just got a call from the dr who did my b/t. She said that my rubella numbers were low and that I needed a booster. Of course (she adds) we can't do that while you're pregnant so you will have to stay away from sick people untill afterwards........

OH OK !!!!! NO PROBLEM AT ALL.

Hi becs - pop on in any time, the more the merrier! And its always good to see what might be ahead for us.

Mysteeq - how did your Dr's go? :fingerscrossed: it all went well.

My Dr's went find, asked about the wind pain, and its fairly normal  she did say I was really early PG from fridays BT, and she suggested another one just to check its progressing. I wasn't to fussed, didn't really want to have to worry waiting for another test, but she thought it would be a good idea so I went with it. She did understand me not wanting to stress about it though, she said being a Dr and knowing lots of things she was really bad and constantly stressing through out her pregnacies. Its good to know she was sympathetic.

Anyhoo, I'll try not to think about it, but :fingerscrossed: the numbers go up as they should. I've booked my scan for the 25th, really hoping :fingerscrossed: that I'll be far enough along to see a h/b . . . the waiting continues!

Hmm, might be too late to not paint anything blue... We had a voucher for free paint from Solver so I went down and chose out this nice lavender colour, really light purple, thinking it would be ok for a boy or a girl. When DH put it on the walls, it is blue! Not just light blue, but full on blue. Damn those little sample cards!

Hi Everyone

Just wondering if I could join you. I have finally got my BFP after 4 IVF attempts but am still a little scared as I have suffered 2 previous m/c prior to starting IVF. I am due on the 14th May with the possiblity of triplets as we transferred 3 hatching blasts. I dont really feel pg, still getting some cramping, feeling queasy at times and some days have really sore (.Y.)'s and others days I dont feel anything. I am hoping this isnt a bad sign. I have had 3 BT all of which have been more than double of the previous one but I am still paranoid. I have my first ob appointment on Tuesday where I will have my first scan but I will only just be 6wks so I dont expect to hear a heartbeat but I hope they will see if all is where it should be at.

Welcomme Vanessa and Julie

:smiliedance: :smiliedance: Yahh on your BFPS

sending you lots of sticky baby dust Vanessa. Your numbers are going up, so that's really good! I can't imagine how you must be feeling, this is my first ever, but its sounding good - I'm looking forward to hear how your scan goes, I'm sure it will be fine. Do you mind me asking how you would feel if it was triplets?

This is my first ever BFP to Julie, and as you can read from everyones posts its perfectly normal to be nervous. Its all so new, exciting and scary. After the first few days of stressing I've found I've really relaxed a lot, taking one day at a time and doing my best to enjoy this first experience while hoping it goes all the way.

Stress can be a factor in miscarriages, so I as hard as it is - I've told myslef that this is now out of my hands (aside from looking after myslef) so I need to just go with it. Of course if it doesn't work out I will be v.sad but I've decided I'll deal with that if it happens and just enjoy where I am now. But don't worry, I am human, and still worry a bit after each test until I get the results . . . . I think that's just how our lives will go from now on  Must be that being a parent thing!

Hi I am still quite new to these forums, have no idea what most of the abbreviations mean can someone please explain!

Anyway, I am due 19 May 07, so i am only 5 wks, but i have had two miscarriages one in May 05 (blighted ovum) and another in Sep 05 (saw a heartbeat at 7wks, then 2 wks later, there was nothing :crying: ) but yay, i am pregnant again, dont want to get my hopes up too much, i hope it all goes well. I already have one son, he is 3 soon (born october 03).

my ob has put me on cartia (low dose asprin) this time around, taking it once a day, and progesterone pessaries... i am having to to HCG tests twice weekly until i see him again in 2 weeks.... i will be having my internal ultrasound done then. i am not really getting any symptoms yet... is this normal? i forget with my first, i think i started getting morning sickness from about 6-7 weeks....

anyone got any similar stories???

Hi Reetz, Vanessa and Julie! Welcome and CONGRATULATIONS!! :smiliedance:

I think it's normal for us to be nervous and also normal for those pg "feelings" and symptoms to be bad some days, and not there the next. I guess it's the up and down rollercoaster we've all just strapped ourselves into. Like Bolli said though, stress is a big factor, so feel free to come on here and vent and worry and question and get it all out! We're all here to listen to each other.

Well we're going to have our next scan on October 6th, seeing as it's DH's birthday. I should be 9 weeks by then, so we're hoping we get to see something to really make his day.
MorganJ hope you're feeling alright! :barf:

Hi Guys

Well much to my complete shock and DH's utter amazement. I think we are pregnant. I did a HPT and a faint (well okay it wasn't so faint) line came up. I'm still in complete denial but very quickly getting excited. I am yet to get the courage to go the doctors for confirmation. This will be my second baby. My first is 7 months old. Yep, seven months. Hopefully this pregnancy will be as uneventful as the last. I had no symptoms and no ms. I just got HUGE!!!!! I loved food. My DH would say that living with me was like playing chess. I think three meals ahead. I only found BH after I had had my baby last time so I'm really looking forward to sharing this pregnancy with you all.
