Stomach pains (sorry if TMI)

I was wondering if anybody has experienced really bad stomach pains while preg? I have and I'm not too worried because i know it is definately stomach related and not bubba related.
I'm almost 18 weeks preg and I have experienced this 3 times already, all in the evening, the last 2 occassions were a month apart. on sunday night i woke up with bad pains in the belly, i didn't bother going to toilet because i'd only be sitting there in the cold. 20 mins passed and off to the toilet i went, i had these intense cramps, after each my stomach would grumble. (all i wanted to do was poop) I also felt like i might be sick but wasn't thankfully. Then after 20 mins of sitting on loo with pains (each about 3-4 mins apart) i finally pooped (alot, and very runny) after which, everything was fine.
what i wanted to know was if this is constipation, or just a bad case of upset tummy? I'm not too worried as i wasn't passing blood. sorry if TMI, but just wanted to double check. can anyone help???

Sounds to me like a normal bout of the tummy bug !

I had some tummy pains last night too and im 17weeks.

especially at night! Odd.

itw asnt period pain though, more like stabbing pains that made me lay down but they are all gone. i hope they are all normal. Every pregnancy ive had is different :rolleyes:

i had sharp pains when i was only bout 8 weeks preg. went to doc it was tummy bug.
i have also had giardia (sp) before which is sharp pains in the gut following eating something.

being preg a doc wont find it odd if you wanna check it out.
