Mylanta or losec bubs

Hi all :) my bub is 12 weeks and on mylanta and losec for reflux.before she started on these she was getting to the stage where she was only doing poos every 3 or 4 days but now she has been having like big poo-plosions every day that have been getting more and more greenish in colour...does any other mums find this as a side effect from reflux meds? It's just frustrating me coz my dd needs to gain weight and I'm sure this isn't helping!

My DS was on Losec (& anti-reflux formula) & I don't remember him having green pop-explosions. He was actually prone to constipation due to the thickened formula.
But before he was on the AR formula he was on NAN HA & we often had green explosions then!
That doesn't really help you though... Sorry!

Yeah dd is fully breastfed so that's why I'm a bit worried I thought breastfed bubs pooped less!

DD actually became constipated due to the Losec which I was told is a common side effect, so perhaps it is the mylanta causing it??

I could be wrong but I dont think it is all that unusuall for some BF babies too poop multiple times a day. My DD is on Losec and mylanta too and it did not seem to change her bowl habits. Mabye call the dr or the pharmasist and ask them if it could be the meds?

My DD had a poo in her nappy nearly every time i changed it.. not always a big one but there was always some sort of poop there... her bowels seemed to settle alot at around 12 weeks, and now she just do two to three big ones a day... sometimes whilst in her bumbo seat.. then it rides up her back lol..

I also found that the Losec made DD very windy too.
