Are you having a baby?
Hi everyone
My name is Adele and I am a second year midwifery student who attends Flinder's University.
As part of my studies we are required to follow women through their pregnancy, birth and labour and postnatally.
This is all done under the supervision of a registered midwife.
From this I will learn about women durind pregnancy, birth and the first weeks with a new baby. This helps me to understand more about what midwifery is and what it involves and how i can better work to provide support when and where it is needed.
I will come with you to antenatal appointments, support and may even contribute to your care during labour and the birthing experience, and visit you within the first few weeks after your baby is born.
You will get to know me who will offer you support throughout your experience. Sharing your thoughts and feeling over this time and it will also give you opportunity to develop on on one relationship with someone you know can support you in the way you want to be supported.
I can support you wherever you choose to birth.
My service is free as it is part of my course.
