Any mums near warners bay??

Hi,

Just wanting to know if there are any mums near Warners Bay area/ surrounding suburbs?

Just moved to the bay area....lived in charlestown b4. so not big move but needing to find some friendship. Yes, work, uni, baby keep you busy in day to day life but when wanting just to chill or coffee etc find it very hard to meet people.

Family members and a friend once mentioned mothers group and yes i know thats where to meet people but im not one to like big groups etc. Shy sometimes but when around people i know well im my loud normal self.

Hi ladies,

I am in Belmont North (so not far from Warners Bay etc).

I know what you mean about "groups". It is really quite difficult to get to know people in a group - speaking for myself of course. It is better to get to know someone then add people to a circle of friends than to do it the other way around.

I have been a member of a mothers group since my daughter was about 3weeks old (basically for about a year) and there are 8 ladies in my group. We meet basically every week and am sad to report that even tho each of the girls are very nice I haven't really bonded with any of them (except 1 lady). I joined in the 1st place to get to know people in my area and that are at a similar stage in life to me. Sadly I have not really got what I wanted from this experience.

Anyways, in case you are interested I have started what appears to be a very successful thread called Newcastle SAHMs in the Essential Baby forum. Stick your head in if you like, we have about 25 mums in the Newcastle/Hunter Valley area that post there fairly frequently. We have been going for about 4-5 months now and we haven't had a group meet or anything yet but are trying to arrange one for anyone interested but at least you can probably get into contact with other mums in your area...
