I have pretty much been a huggies person for my son and will continue to use huggies for him (2.5yrs).

I now have another bubs due in 2 weeks and i have brought a box of newborn huggies, but i got thinking the other day, you change the baby so often during the day could you use a cheaper brand and just use huggies for night time ?

Big W this week have 2 boxes of Infants which contain 128 nappies each for $50 so thats about 19c ish a nappy..

What about other brands other than that Aldi brand as i am in Perth.

DO you think that for a newborn that you change more often i can get away with it or is it going to cause more problems than worth ? I dont want to waste money if they are just going to leak and be crapola.

Oh and i am having a girl if that makes a difference and expecting it to be 4kg at birth...

soon to be mum of 4

Personally knowing that every single disposable nappy ever made is still sitting in landfill today has made me more worried of the environment factor this time around..baby #4! So i am using a combo of modern cloth and Bambo disposables which are 85% biodegradable. If you buy in bulk on line they are quite compettive in price, i also found them in a local store, they are also equally as good as all the leading brands and I have not had any leaks at all.
The other good thing for me was they make a premmie size which i needed, so anyway, food for thought...good luck, :)

I use a cheaper nappy during the day and huggies at night. We got a heap of baby love from toys r us when they were on special and were given a heap of baby love and huggies before my son was born. He is now 5 months old and we have not bought any nappies since he was born!!!!!
It works fine using the cheaper during the day, the cheaper ones only leak when he wears them over night- if he wears em anymore than 4 hours he gets soaked, but it would def work out cheaper for you if you do it that way.
