I really like the sounds of this med vitex im gonna look at geting some over the weekend what i wanted to know is has anyone with PCOS or any other med prob used vitex if so what did it do for you? Thanks :p
I used it (actually another stronger brand called Premular but still a Chaste Berry Extract) and I have PCOS. I took it for about 5 months and it didnt do anything for me, I never had a bleed.
I stopped it when I started Clomid because I was told (and read) that you shouldnt take the two together.

Oh ok thanks for your replie how bad is your pcos if i may ask?
Im not sure how bad it is (or how you even measure that!), I only found out I had it about a month ago. Both my sisters also have it. I know they counted at least 22 'cysts' on one ovary, they assumed didnt bother trying to count them on the other!
I had been on the pill since I was about 15 so cant remember if my cycles were regular back then... I came off in early March and did not ovulate at all, luckly last weekend I did for the first time with the help of Clomid.
Thanks to the higher than normal testosterone level I have a bit darkened body hair on my lower back and stomach (and very slightly on my upper lip but not much at all). I also have bad acne on my back and also get a bit on my face, neck and chest... dont you just love PCOS..
I am not overweight and although I have never been tested for it, they dont think I have an IR problem.
IMO Vitex probably wont help PCOS, I think it is good for a normal cycle that is just a bit long or to help out with PMS symtoms but not PCOS, it is a bit more complicated.... However this is just my thoughts but I would advise you to see a specialist who deals with PCOS and see what they say.
