New from Canada-Looking for friends

Hi everyone,
My name is Sharon and my husband and new baby Tristan )3.5 weeks old have just moved here from Canada. I have heard of so many good things about Mum groups and have noticed so many in the threads listed. I am looking for some mum groups interested in walking, getting together etc... We live in Bracken Ridge and so far I am familiar with the aspley and Chermside area (Haven't had much of a chance to explore the area yet). If you are interested in meeting up I would love to hear from you. I am also interested in starting a group, maybe Bar B Q night? Hope to hear from you!

Hi Wendy, Glad to hear you like the Bar B Q night. Maybe we can schedule something for Mid-End November(Won't have any furniture until then-everything is still on the boat.) I would love to Host it if Bracken Ridge isn't too far for everyone. It would be a pleasure for us.
I hope to meet up with everyone at the aspley mums group though I'm not sure I can make tomorrows meeting, though next weeks will be a for sure thing for me.

I'm from Toronto. Just been in Australia for two years, still pretty new! Met my Australian partner here and I'm now staying. We have just had our first baby, a little boy. How exciting! How not quite 3 months old.

Hi! :wave: Welcome to Oz! I'm not a Canadian, but people often mistake me for one, and I don't mind. I'm from Minnesota, married an Aussie, and I've been living here 3 years now.
I dont' have any bubs yet - first little girl is due in August! :D We live in Bray Park - just about 10/15 min. from Bracken Ridge.

We have just started a mothers group for Mums & Bubs under 18 months in North Brisbane. Just saw your thread and thought you might be interested in joining us? So far we seem to be meeting up Wednesday mornings. Is always great to meet other Mums & for the "Mums to be" would be great for you to get in some practice before the big day...lol.
