I am just wondering how it would go using flanelette as a stuffing or just use a terry square? I have made some pocket nappies and am waiting on my hemp terry and was just wondering what to use in the mean time.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

i use a 1/2 terry in my greens with a microfibre towel i got from kmart (6 pack for $12). the microfibre is about the same size as a 1/2 terry and i fold it into 3 and put it in top of the terry next to the inside part of the pocket.

i did try using a whole terry but it was too big and bulky. the microfibre and 1/2 terry doesn't make it too bulky and gives me a couple of extra hours before i need to change.

i am waiting on funds to get some hemparoos tho.

I don't have any micro fibre towel. I might try half a terry with some flenelette. Hopefully that will work.

the terry will still work but it just means you might need to change a bit more often

Terry is fine as stuffing but as said maybe a little bulky so use your well beaten, well worn squares otherwise a half terry would be better.
Its more so that being bulky clothes may not fit etc cause they dont give that allowance these days mainly due to the use of disposies !
I use a terry flat folded into a pad in the Eenees pouch pants & find we last around 3-4hrs anyways which is when i would change him in a disposie anyways
Its all about trial & error to begin with so try whatever you have & see how you go !
Good luck :D

I stuff my pockets with flannalette flats & microfibre cleaning cloth, but it is fine just the flanalette

the other day I was waaaay behind in the washing, I was down to my last nappy (a pocket) and had no boosters, so I used a hand towel folded to fit. It worked fine! I guess it's made of cotton... Basically anything absorbent can be used, tea towels, hand towels, anything like that!

*off to get me some microfibre cloths from supermarket*
