Are you having a cesar or a natural birth?
For this baby I HAVE to have a cesar. My DD got stuck last time and could of died (during a natural birth), so my ob has told me I must have a cesar to protect my new baby and myself.
It doesnt phase me either way, just as long as bubby is born alive and healthy.
I know its early on for us to be thinking about it, but some people might already know what they are going to do.

Even though I'll be having a huge baby, I'm having a natural birth. No drugs either, just gas.

I had a natural birth, however I wouldn't have been disappointed if I ended up having a cesar, as long as my DS came out alive and healthy I don't think it matters.

Ummm I am not April, i am March, but I am butting in anyway :D.
I had an emergency c/s with the dude, due to foetal distress... so not my body, but the dude's small stature... this time round I will try again for natural, and see how things go. To be perfectly honest, when I was in labour and they said I was to have a c/s, I was kind of relieved...

Hello
I have had 4 natural, drug free births (not even gas), but my last really upset me, she was very quick, but I had meconium staining, as well as she was posterior (occiput posterior), which is the most painful by far, I had my son posterior as well, but he was anterior posterior (no where near as bad, dangerous or painful), she had shoulder dystocia, which required her to have a bad shoulder for 4 months, and me, a bad, very bad tear, she was 10lb, 3 oz, and I am small eeheem, down there, becuase she was very quick (45 minutes), there was no drugs I could take at all, and I was moved, actually thrown from one position to the other by the midwife, who actually saved her life for doing it, and it wasnt very nice. I was also 13 days overdue.
Now, if that situation is becoming apparent, I have absolutely no qualms in having a c/sect, in fact, if the baby is looking big, I will be asking for a c/sect, it isnt fair to allow a mother to deliver a baby that big, in that position but I wasnt told until I was in labour, although the birth centre knew, but thought that I would have guessed. (I have NEVER been able to position any of my babies).
In fact, I am up for anything this time round, epi, c/sec, drugs, roll them on, if it makes me not be traumatised by an extremely hard, painful and stressful, then Im all for it.

I am going to try for a 'natural' birth. Exept that I will be having an epi.
I will not mind if I have to have a c/s, but it would be nice not to as the recovery dosn't look like a ton of fun:thumbsdown:

Natural birth all the way. They thought of a ceasar scares the **** out of me. With my son I did it with just the gas (all 19 hours of it) so with this one I think I might try it with nothing at all. :fingerscrossed:

I am also not in April, But I also vote for Natural, at least you are able to walk around, and shower yourself straight after. I have no idea why someone would ask for a cesar it is to long of a recovery.

I am definately going for Natural unless the OB thinks otherwise. My mum had an Emergency C-Section cause there was no room for me to push through and both her and I nearly died. So if that runs in the family then I might just opt for the C.
I have to admit though I haven't really thought that far ahead but still want the natural feeling.
