bossy boots

hey everyone,
i read in a earlier thread about discipline for 9 month and how they are two young really and distraction is the best method,
well rylea(11 months) is being a right propper bossy boots and very defiant at the moment
everything is funny, NO is a funny word in this house, and her latest one is
when i say NO she come up and smacks me in the face and gets real mad. and goes crook on me.
usually she goes through fazes of theses sorts of things but this on seems to be sticking..
has anyone got any advice????

It is probably a phase and she is just venting her frustration. If distraction is not working and she is hitting you she is probably doing it to get a reaction. I would try putting her down, not saying anything and just ignoring her completely. If she gets no reaction from you she is likely to stop.
