Hi I am 43 with a 16 year old daughter and a 8 month old girl, I would love to join a playgroup or other mothers to get out of the house and get Taylor interacting with other babies. I am a very young 43 year old so if there are younger or older mums that are interested I am happy with that either way as long as you dont mind a old bag tagging along :) :) .

I'm new to this site and came across your thread. Just thought i'd let you know that there is a playgroup (which i usually attend weekly) that runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Holy Spirit Primary School at Bray Park. In Sparkes Road, so you would be more than welcome to attend. You just turn up, tuesdays is 9-11am and thursdays is 9.30am -11.30am. The ages varies between all the mothers. We have our youngest mum aged 24 and a Granny(in her 70's) that comes with her grandaughter. i think you will find all of the people friendly if you decide to come along.....if you decide you are intested PM me and i can give you more details if you like but that pretty much covers everything apart from it costly $1 to attend and having to just bring along morning tea for you and your child....
i have been attending for 4 years and my children and myself usually have a great time. It is all pretty laid back and casual.

Thats great if you can come along as it's always nice to see new faces.....but you know what? This tuesday I am rostered on at my older sons pre-school so I actually won't be there :o BUT the president will be there along with a few other mums and they are all so friendly.....Jenny is the lady who will be their first as she opens up the hall (she is the president) but all going well i would be back there the first Tuesday after the school holidays.
There is no playgroup through the school holdidays due to the school being closed and something to do with insurance ect having people their buildings in the holidays.....
anyway have a think about it...let me know if you do plan on going for sure and i can give jenny a ring and let her know to look out for you. sorry about that - I just realised that i won't be there on that day.... :(
I'm sure Taylor will have fun as there a a few babies around her age - my daughter is 15months and my son is nearly 3. There are 3 babies around Taylors age that i can think of off hand.
It will be good for you to meet people as us lazy mums usually sit and chat our heads off as the kids just play with the toys in the hall. It is a good time for us to catch up on our adult conversations as most of us are stay at home mums and spend all our time with the kids.

Hi there! I am also in Bracken Ridge! I am 36 and have a 5 1/2 mth old son. I am new to Brisbane (only moved here 2 mths ago) and keen to meet some like minded mums and bubs. There is a playgroup in sandgate as well as kindermusik starting next mth which I am looking at going to, however, keen to meet for walks or coffees (we have a GJs now, yeah!) ;) with anyone wanting to get back into life!
