Hey Debbie

That's cool. I have my car most days I just take hubby to work when I want it. So that makes things easier for me.

Where abouts over east are you? We own a house on Scotland st.

I had Olivia on the 24.08.2010 at 25weeks 2days. Someone forgot to tell her how preemie she is haha. She's doing so well (touchwood) was off the ventilator on day 3 & on the cpap machine & on Monday they are talking about turning it down to the lowest setting. She's loving having expressed milk & is up to 9mLs every 2hrs. According to her paed she's his little star performer all we can do is keep an eye on her feeds & wait for her to grow.

Amy.

Hey guys, By the way my name is Jo

Amy - im so happy that your baby girl is doing well =] my neice was born at 32 weeks and i remember how small she is i cant imagine how tiny ur baby girl is, i know my neice had a huge struggle at first so im soo happy to hear Olivia is doing so well. I cant wait to hear from you when you come home. I live on Victoria street, so ur street is off mine, but u live right down the opposite end near the council building =] close to the water tower.

Debbie - All good that you have not been able to get online, i've saved your number and ill txt you soon =]

Sorry Jo my brain has malfunctioned since August. I read your post & saw Debbie written in there lol. So sorry. I know the area fairly well.

Debbie - I'll save your details too but you may want to remove them soon so not every tom, **** & harry has access to it.

As for Olivia. She has put on 38g in 2 days & is now up to 876g. They upped her feeds to 10mLs every 2hrs & they are reducing the CPAP tomorrow to the lowest setting (she's on 6 atm & 5 is the lowest). So hoping with the new maternity section being open tomorrow with the new SCN hoping we get the option to go home a bit earlier. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Hate being away lol.

Sure did ... hubby got the job and we moved up at the end of June :D

We're loving it ... DD1 has settled well into school and for the first time in her school life she is actually excited to go to school every morning . We're taking advantage of being so close to the beach and I'm loving the lack of traffic jams! :smiliedance:

I hope your little girl keeps going in leaps and bounds and you are home soon. :hugs:

RaryGirl - meeting up sounds great, im living in Bundy east, if u know where the water tower is, im like 5 mins walk from there.

It's school holidays then, will it make it too busy? :o

hey

RaryGirl - meeting up sounds great, im living in Bundy east, if u know where the water tower is, im like 5 mins walk from there.

One thing which I am enjoying, nothing seems to be more than 15 minutes away from me :yelclap: Made for many a day where I have been extremely early for things as I've allowed time for traffic.

MrsRowe
13-09-2010, 08:14
haha yeah i know what you mean, We used to live on the gold coast and i know what traffic was liek down there, i could only imagine the difference if we actually had a car =[ its next on our list but gotta save the $$'s first.

Girls i was wondering. maybe we should make a day every week or every fortnight where we can all meet up at my house and just let the kids play and chat n all, i dont mind traveling on the bus to get to other people's houses either but i figure since you guys all have cars it might be easier to pop over here... anyway let me know what u think, and let me know what days are better for you all.

My little girl goes to daycare monday and thursday but my son is home with me all the time (huge seperation anxiety) trying to get him past it but its not working so well yet.

Hi everyone...

Okay Maze Mania in school holidays doesnt sound at all fun- thought we could all meet before partners????

How about going to a park on Thursday Afternoon? Do you girls have preferences to a park close by??? Cheaper and easier for everyone that way!! Say 2-2:30 pm? Let me know what park suits everyone.. Just trying to make it simple for now and we can all talk once we meet up!! :) x

RaryGirl
13-09-2010, 13:23
Park sounds good to me ... I'd have to be home for my oldest after school by 3:30pm, so a meet around 1:30pm would be great or after school.

As for parks, I did see a lovely big park somewhere in town when I got lost one day :o ... I'll see if I can find it again ... it had lots of shade and heaps of play equipment.

Awwwwww this thread makes me homesick :crying:
I have been gone from bundy 1 year this week :(

Are you talking about Alexandra Park? It has animals, play equipment, BBQ's and lots of shady trees, if you go through town, over the railway line, take the first right and you will be there, on Quay st

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=ph0&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=alexandra+park+bundaberg&fb=1&gl=au&hq=alexandra+park&hnear=Bundaberg+QLD&cid=0,0,1716302520209774235&ei=jp6NTMD1JYuIvgOHqIXoBg&sa=X&oi=local_result&ct=image&resnum=2&ved=0CB0QnwIwAQ

or there is Lake Ellen hub (olsen park) which is over east on scotland st.

:crying::crying::crying: I miss Bundaberg.

RaryGirl
13-09-2010, 14:21
JJ both of those parks sound great! I have no idea where I was when I 'found' the park  who would have thought you could get lost in Bundaberg :o

I think it was the one in town though as I'm sure I wasn't over east at the time (well, I wasn't meant to be )

I'm happy to go with whatever is easiest for everyone to get to ... Jo is the one over east easiest for you to get to?

MrsRowe
13-09-2010, 14:59
hey guys

yeh i figured we would meet up before the whole bbq thing but i just ment its an idea for in a few weeks time or something as i know Amy wont be home for a while anyway (mind u fingers crossed she can come home soon)

I dont really mind what park, but yes the one over east is better for me because it is about a 10-15 minute walk, the others i would need to get a bus and then walk, which would make time alot harder. I have no problems doing any of the things you guys have mentioned, i probably wont be able to stay out long tho, as zayden still isnt very good at climbing or things like that so he may get grumpy and i would have to be home in time for Acaciah to be getting dropped off from daycare. which is any time after 3. so if we do the park prob 1-1:30 is better for me also.

If the weather isnt great (should be but if it isnt) my house is around the corner and your all more then welcome here, as i said before i have a big yard, loads of balls and other toys =]

If any of u guys have facebook or msn add me
j.and.a.rowe@live.com

Okay- 1:30pm onwards? I may be a little late if my daughter is sleeping a little long but ill def be there by 2!

There is an amazing park at George Street, East Bundaberg, Lake Ellen Park. (ill have to get directions for it too, but its sooo good) We will have to sit somewhere so everyone know's who to look for :) my mob is 0406533441 (its a business one so no problems) just send me a text when u get there if were having problems finding each other...

Ok girls I have sent a request through to each of you.

Yeah not sure when I'll be hitting home yet. Keep your fingers crossed for me its 33 weeks (5 weeks time) or sooner.

All depends on Olivia's breathing, feeding etc. I have pics on FB for her if you wanna see.

RG - if you PM me your fb details I'll add you as I have mine set so nobody can search for me lol.

BBQ idea sounds great but be warned my DH can be a little shy lol.

Hi ladies,

My name is Jess and I've been in Bundy for about 4 years now. When hubby first moved me here I could have strangled him. Now he would struggle to get me to leave

I'm 23 (almost), with a 2 year old little princess. I work full time and study part time so I have zero spare time on my hands  There are quiet a few mums around my age in Bundy :yelclap:

Not sure if the girls have managed a meet or not yet (I'm currently living in Brissy until further notice). But will be up for a catch up when we get home.

Update on Olivia: she is now sitting in at 1702g & was taken off CPAP at 10.30am today & still going strong. FX this is the time she stays off (means we are close to being transfered home if she does).

Ok since chat won't work. Where & when? But keep in mind everyone please don't come if you have the slightest illness. My DD2 was 15 weeks early & is very likely to get quite ill if someone passes on a runny nose or sore throat etc.
