Thinking about becoming a doula

Hi!
I have been thinking about becoming a doula, but have so many questions! Does anyone have any experience with the Optimum Birth or the Childbirth International courses? What are your opinions on them? What's it like working as a doula? What happens if you have a conflict (e.g. two women go into labour on the same day)? How many births a month do you think is reasonable to take on?
