Can I suggest maybve re-working his diet a little?
If he is a big beefy active baby, his diet as it stands isn't really going to keep him satisfied.
He may need some more things like finger foods, sandwiches, pasta, toast, pureed root vegetables, lentils, chicken, tuna, brown rice etc etc etc.
So some days the only food he is having is half a jar of baby cereal until 5;30...?
Try milk, porridge and toast in the morning to keep his fuller.
Milk is definately the most important thing until one, but to me it sounds like he may need a little more "food" as well.
Fruit and a cereal bar maybe isn't containing enough calories for him.

Anyway..just some thoughts...

:iagree:

I would do cereal for breakfast or toast as finger food
Bottle
Lunch like a sandwich, avocado on cruskit, steamed veggies in fingers etc
Bottle bed
Snack
Dinner

5 little meals is perfectly fine but i would be adding in more veggies.fish etc as PP has mentioned.

I agree. I think the old 'food is fun until they're 1' thing is a bit overrated tbh. I guess the question is really if he seems happy and healthy though.
At that age f was definitely having 3x2 course solids a day. Basically carbs/veg and protein plus fruit/yoghurt and I think 3 day time milks.

my 9month old eats the following

6am 210ml bottle
8am porridge with some kind of pureed fruit (banana apple pear)
10am 210ml bottle
12am lunch which can b 1/2-3/4 of an avocado some carrots or sandwich
nap
3pm jar fruit gel
5pm 210ml bottle
7pm dinner which consist of meat veg pasta or rice pretty much whatever we r eating
8pm 210ml bottle

so no i dont think he is eating 2 much sometimes she will still wake 4 another 210ml bottle between 12-2 so i say just follow his lead my DD is considered underweight n they r teling me 2 try n feed her more i dont know how lol

:iagree:I too would recommend porridge, weetbix, maybe sago pudding made with fruit puree after his morning bottle. Then a snack at morning tea like jatz and cheese or yoghurt. A sandwich after his lunchtime bottle. etc

I think your not feeding ur bub to much. My bub weighed 15kgs at his 12mnth check up and I saw 2 dr's regarding his weight and diet and they said I wasn't feeding him enough. I wouldn't worry about to much weight unless you were feeding him excessive amounts. But yes I do think maybe some raisn toast for breaky or something with a little more substance in it. My DS loved raisin toast at that age. Even wheat bix.

Doesn't look like it to me. My 8mth old eats way more than that. I wouldn't worry too much about his size unless your doctor has said it's a problem, my baby and her little friends are all different shapes and sizes.

I think as long as what you are feeding him is healthy and balanced, then you can't be overfeeding him.

Her meals:
6:30 - Breastfeed
8:00 - 1.5 weetbix and half a piece of toast
10:30 - Breastfeed
12:00 - one icecube size portion of meat & five icecubes of assorted vegies + three tblsp yogurt
2:30 - Breastfeed
4:30 - if she is hungry - half a vegemite sandwich or some cheese or other snack.
5:30 - one icecube meat & four icecubes assorted vegies + a jar of pureed fruit
6:30 - Breastfeed
