A bit of help please with green kids

I got my green kids today and it says to wash the hemp 3 times first. So do I just wash the covers once and the inserts 3 times???

That's the way I read it - the hemp needs to be washed in HOT water at least 3 times to increase its absorbancy, and doesn't reach full absorbancy until after 10 washes. I don't think the cover itself is absorbant, so only needs to be washed to remove the chemicals from its manufacture.

thats all i did with mine. i washed the cover once and the hemp 3 times.

i need to get some more hemp now. its great.

Yeah just wash the nappy once & the hemparoo 3 times in hot water. You will definately find them more absorbant the more you wash them.

The other night I put one of my newer hemps in dd's night nappy & she was wet in the morning. When I put my older ones in she's fine!! :)

A tip from Greens - instead of washing the hemp 3 times, boil it with a little detergent for 20mins, cool down then wash normally :thumbsup: Saves time & water :yes:
