Late period negative pregnancy test

DH and I have been trying for around 6 months now with no luck so far.

I came off the pill late last year and my periods haven't been spot on regular to the exact day, but usually fall within a few days (average 35)

I'm now on day 40 and still no AF. I've taken 2 pregnancy test and they're both negative. The last one I took was on Sunday. I seem to have long cycles but i've never been this late.

I have sore boobs but that's normal for me leading up to AF.

I don't know should I take another test or am I just delaying AF by stressing about it.

Has anyone had a BFN and found out later that they actually were pregnant? :confused:

Day 41 and still no AF. I took another PT yesterday and negative.

hey hun, have u thought about going in for a blood test?? I have heard many stories of ppl not getting there BFPs until they are 2 weeks late. Hope u get either a BFP or AF soon:)

going to the doc and getting a blood test may be a good idea. there are a few things which can cause your period to be late and some of them even reduce your chance of falling preg.

I used to average between 29 - 35 days. I had 2 or 3 experiences in our years of trying that extended to 90 days. That wasn't normal for me but I wasn't pregnant. My specialist had no real answer for me. I never had a blood test or anything done during those times. I suggest definitely seeing your doctor and see what they have to say.

I don't know why this is happening but it's certainly put a damper in the works. I'm now on CD43 and still nothing. I took another test on day 41 and it was negative.

The last 3 or 4 morning's i've woken up with a REALLY bloated stomach and major gas, its actually quite uncomfortable and i'm now worried that because i'm not pregnant there might be something wrong with me.

I will call the doctor today to make an appointment.
