Hi girls,
Thought we could run a list of all the oddities and annoying things our bodies are doing at the moment ... you know, it often helps if you see that someone else is feeling the same thing !!
I'll go first .... feel free to add to it :)
First Trimester (weeks 1-12)
- nausea all day
- tiredness
- all milk tastes off
- really sore bb's
- congested
- fluid retention
C'mon girls ... add to it

Not being able to fit into any of my clothes already

I feel a little shady every now and then, but nothing that bad.
I have been getting dizzy if I stand to long (like ground is moving)
Realy, Realy tired. If I can get away with it I eat then sleep, then get up have something else to eat then go back to sleep (good way to grow fat on my buttom:thumbsdown: )
I don't have any complaints realy, everything is going well.

Nausea from the minute I open my eyes until I close them at night (since a week after BFP) I don't feel like eating, but have to constantly, so far no :barf: , but sometimes think it might feel better lol.
Cravings where I'm positive I have to have it, & only that because its all the nausea can stomach & NOTHING else will do.
Sore breasts, on & off.
Exhausted by 3pm.
Short fuse.
TMI - saggy pouch tummy (think deflated balloon) already a pot belly!!!
Thats about it for now, cant complain, I've had much worse :D

Other then that -
Sickness at weird times - blackmores seriousley helps with that
OMG boobs, so sore, even over taking and putting on my bra. hrmmm
Constipated some times - but then i have floating poop - weird
hehe loud and obnoxious farts - keeps hubby amused
Short Fuse here as well
Stuffed by 3pm as well

seriously mummamoo this was a great idea - feeling like your not alone and all. And collyspark thanks - loud obnoxious farts - I feel so happy :smiliedance:
Who would've thunk it.
Last night I'd had enough of them and started using the old 'blame the dog under the table' trick. Only I dont have a dog so I was blamming Mame. Everytime... prrrrrrrt, 'Oh Mame!'
prrrrrrt, 'Oh Mame really thats disgusting!'
prrrrt, 'Ma...Me...'
and so on and so forth, less embarassing.
Can you give your baby deep seeded phycological problems by blaming them for the farts while still in utero?:detective: hehehehehehehehehehe

wow I thought that it was only me doing them!! I thought "no it can't be possible that it's because I am preggers" but it must be. Yay I have an excuse now!! hehe
I am finding the poos a bit (TMI) sloppy but that might be cause I am taking Vitamin E so I think it's that.
I have very sensitive nipples at the best of times so now it's ULTRA sensitive.
I also have found that tears come when they feel like it. I was watching tv the other day (greys anatomy) and I found that I had tears welling in my eyes!! What a wuss. Also songs on the radio get me going too! Who would of thought!
I have found that I have been getting really bad headaches as well. Not just niggling ones but big mother ones! Not nice at all. Just have to close the eyes and then it goes away.
One last one, I get really tired at about 3pm as well, but when I finally get to bed (really really tired) I can't get to sleep. And then when I turn in my sleep my tummy starts to churn and I start to feel a little sick until I get back to sleep again.
Very weird

Ive just got one thing to say:
WHOS IDEA WAS THIS????????????
I feel soooo sick that I am almost regretting doing this whole thing again.
I just got up (Yep, 12pm), and I feel like ****, I have this horrible tummy, like I NEED to throw up, even in my mouth, but I cant. I cant eat, I cant lie down, cause I have bedspins, I have never had morning sickness before, thank god, I think Im getting it for all in the one hit.
Just the thought of eating/drinking makes me wanna hurl, I think I need to get some m/s tablets.. I think I need to die..... lol....
Ok, that is off my chest, Im back to hug the toilet, hubby has made me a makeshift bed on the floor of the ensuite, so I can spew in comfort (bless his cotton socks). He got up and did the kids thismorning, just sent them in for me to put up their hair after he had showered them, and brushed it, and them pulled them out to leave me alone, xcept I cant do this every day.
OMG, it isnt the labour only that you forget, its all this as well........
Next it will be haemorroids, which I remembered yesterday, what can you do.
Now I know why I said Charleigh was the last, slap me down now.
Sorry for the complaint....

Hi All,
I'm having very big problems of late with Meat. Yes, I know...It's a little weird! Anything that is Steak or even Chicken, Sausages, Chops, & even fish is not a friend on mine. It makes me want to vomit! Usually I love meat and will eat it no problems! This causes me alot of grief when I have to go to the supermarket to buy meat for the family, and usually end up walking out of the supermarket feeling very green. I decided today I would try some Marinated Chicken Nibblies, and see how they go. I can eat a little cold meat at the moment in sandwiches and even that is pushing it! The only thing I seem to not have a problem with is Apples! I can eat them, and they seem to be my craving at the moment!
Aside from the eating problems, I am very tired... & usually get quite green when it comes to just after lunch until bed time! I will be happy when this sickness finally leaves me!

Not much so far - although I am only 5 minutes into week 6!
Just sore boobs, and a little bit of nicotine withdrawal (have given up yay!). Also, it's not a craving but all I want it a massive ham and cheese roll. Its only because I can't have one that I want one.
Also, am sleeping like the dead, then waking in the middle of the night thinking "I was supposed to remember something... what was it again??" an then "oh yeah! I'm having a baby!!!!!!"

lol, you lot, think I feel pretty good compared to most of you...
my boozies are big and full, and yes sore, and sensitive in the nipple
nauseous at odd times, and yes, dont feel like eating, but if I dont it gets worse. The ginger tea is helping
Meat, I had that around 6 weeks, couldnt stand the sight of it, but that past pretty quickly.
craving, still potatoes, very weired, dont normally eat them at all.
Tiredness is actually getting less, I dont HAVE to lie on the Sofa from 3pm onwards anymore, but pssst dont tell dh that, as I still do on the weekends... dont get me wrong, I am still tired but not as severely as a few weeks ago.

This post is great!
Ok my symptoms thus far, and now at almost week 11 they seem to be getting worse, rather than better.. i think im a bit slow in that department LOL.
1. Nausea on and off - Very Annoying!
2. Headaches on and off.
3. EXTREME fatigue some days, yesterday was the worse i felt like i had no energy to even move my arm above my head, which in turn makes me feel very lazy!
4 Feeling full all the time, like i have eaten a 10 course meal in10 minutes.
5. My pants slowly gettting tighter each day.
6. Dizzy spells.
7. Sore nipples, slightly fuller boobs.
8. Milk that tastes off, even tho its a fresh bottle.
9. weird taste in my mouth , wouldnt say metallic but gross.
10. Feeling fidgety (not sure what exactly to call it).
11. Sense of smell seems to be going a bit off the wall... sometimes my morning coffee smell like cats pee to me... :barf: .
12. Restless in bed.
13. Warm flushes.
Think that is all of mine so far.. but like i said mine are really kicking in last few weeks rather than say from 5 weeks... silly body! Symptoms are meant to ease by 12 weeks, maybe im getting all mine in a 1 week mega hit. :D
Oooops just realised this was April thread.. sorry girls :o

Today is awful. I cannot stop dry-wretching (sp?) and my sense of smell is extremely strong.. walking through a shopping centre's food court yesterday was a nightmare, I just wanted to vomit. Bleurgh. I have bought some Sea Bands today though and also some Blackmoore's Morning Sickness easer. Neither have worked much but fingers crossed they kick in soon.
About the only thing I can stomach at the moment is chicken noodle soup & lemon calippos. :gloomy:

This week has been the worst for me but last night and today are far worse than earlier in the week.
I just want to curl up and die!! Or instead just give me the baby now so I don't have to feel like this. My tummy is grumbling like it's hungry but the thought of putting something in my mouth makes me want to :barf: :barf: Not nice at all.
I bought the blackmores today but they haven't done anything yet but I hope they kick in soon. Last night I was really bad and all I could do was cry!! :crying:
Sorry for going on but I really needed to get that out cause I know a lot of you are also feeling the same and it's much nicer when you know that your not the only one feeling like this.

Ooo, I'm so emotional too. Was really tired last night after a broken night's sleep on Thursday, and was a bit mean to poor DH... And reading books or watching TV, I seem to start crying at ANYTHING. I'm always a little bit of a wuss, but this is ridiculous! :crying:

Afternoon ladies!
After 4 days of non-stop morning sickness (vomiting, dry-wretching & constant nausea) I have found a relief!
Buderim Ginger "Ginger Bears". Yesterday I was on a desperate hunt to find some kind of relief and went into a health food store and decided to give these ginger bears a try. They are the only thing that has "paused" the awful m/s. So if you haven't tried them, give them a go!
On a side note: I picked up a bottle of Blackmore's Morning Sickness tablets and they made me feel worse. I couldn't keep one tablet down and felt sick in my stomach right after. Just letting you all know.
Hope this helps! :) Jessie

Glad some people find relief in ginger - I have tried Blackmore morning sickness tablets and they don't do it for me....
Equal first with the disgusting "morning" (?) sickness is the unbelievable tiredness I've felt for the last two weeks. Honestly, I've never been this tired in my life and am worried that it's not normal??? I've had to take this last week off work because I sleep all night and then sleep for another six hours or so during the day. Has anyone else experienced such fatigue for so long?

CONGRATS everyone on your pregnancies. I have read through your thread and for all of your comments I was thinking  that was me.
I am now 18 weeks along and it's only just this last week that I have regained my appetite, felt less nauseous, regained some energy and have less "growing pains" in my tummy. I have even been on my hands and knees today scrubbing floors, something I never could have done a month ago.
I just wanted to let yo know it will and does get better (I was beginning to think it never would) so hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.
Enjoy the rest of your pregnancies :)

I have found a really good cure that is working for me. They are called Sea Bands and they are bands that you wear on your wrist and they have a little white ball on it that goes on your pressure point to stop the nausea.
I have to say that it is a lifesaver for me. That and apples.
Just wanted to share with everyone, cause I would love to eat those ginger bears but I can't stomach ginger when I am feeling fine let alone when I am really sick!!
Good luck everybody

And I am already showing and I am 6 weeks.
My family cant beleive how far I am popping out. I have already upgraded to my old maternity jeans.
I have felt what i thought was my uterus, but by reading what people are saying I dont know if it is.
Me and DH did the thing where you move your fingies up your belly until it drops off like on a cliff, and It was at the bottom of my belly button at 5 weeks -apparently shouldnt be above your pubic bone.
But I dont know. Twins are very very common in my family, though they say identicals is not a heridetary thing. There was defintly only 1 gestational sac at the scan, we could not see any baby in the sac because bub is far to small, but my sac was apparently healthy and full of life.

HI girls
I just want to tell you what I have learnt in my research regarding twins.
Fraternal twin are hereditary. It is a gene passed from the mother to the daughter, it may also be passed from the grandmother to you or even in the odd occasion the greatgrandmother, the gene is the ability to "drop" two eggs at once, and fraternal twins can only happen that way. With fraternal twins, there will be 2 sacs (2 eggs).
Identical twins are different, they are a "freak of nature", and can happen to anyone, and of course only 1 sac is needed.
When I went for my U/S, the techie explaind to me that aas early as we all are, it is only around 50% that there is only 1 in there, the other could be hiding behind the other, or as you are generally only looking at a fetus a couple of days, the other could be simply just too small to see......
Mikeyswife, I have said it before, I am at a high risk for frat. twins, I am one, and my mum, and it goes back for 6 generations of boy/girl frat's, noone can work out why the gene wasnt passed to me, but maybe I have it, and every pregnancy I have had then it isnt one that I have dropped the two eggs (it doesnt happen every cycle). But chances are that I have passed it on to one of my daughters. I also have a sister, who has a singleton, it can be passed to her also.
OK, I hope that helps, and I hope you have twins, cause damn, they are cute!

My boobs are really sore today, the seat belt in the car hurts them cause it touches the left one at the nipple and it kills me (sorry TMI).

I bought these cool tanktops, they are thin straps, with bra-like extenders, which is stretchy, and lace for about 50cm on top, then lace on bottom, same, it is gorgeous, and beats a belly belt anyday, I got 2 for $25 at JayJays, they are beautiful.... Ooh, and as they are tight, they keep the old bra straps in place....lol.... THey are great for wearing under a tshirt or jacket cause Im so hot, Im forever ripping off clothes, so its good to have something that looks nice while pregga. If anyone wants one or two, Ill get them, and send them to you, they go in sizes small to XL, and are good sizes. Ill post them for naught, just the prices of the tops.
Ill get photos and pst them, or if you have a Jayays close, have a look, and get them, they are sweeeeeeet....

wow, they look great, I bought one that looks just like it on ebay, as a maternity top, paid $15 for it, and I love it too. I am pretty sure we have a jay jays here somewhere, so will go and see if they have them. thanks for the photo.

Hmmm my symptons,
extremly tired but cant sleep when you go to bed
Very moody, the simple things set me off
morning sickness on and off
Cant eat first thing in the morning, which is really hard because then i am at work and cant eat anything until i have a break
I go from constapation (sp) to the other way.
I was never like this with my other two kids, I am sure of it
I have no motivation to do house work either!
My nipples are ultra sensitive
Mikeswifey, I am due around the same time as you and i am sure my belly has started to pop out too, my work pants are too tight. I think i might have to search for some maternity work pants soon.

Twins:... I also have a high chance of having them as well. My mother's brothers were fraternal twins, I think DH would have a heart attack if I had 2 sacs! We will find out hopefully soon with our ultrasound. I already have one 2 year & 9 month old son, I don't know how I would go with another 2! :)

[QUOTEOne last one, I get really tired at about 3pm as well, but when I finally get to bed (really really tired) I can't get to sleep. And then when I turn in my sleep my tummy starts to churn and I start to feel a little sick until I get back to sleep again.

Me too. And I need my sleep so bad.

I'm still so dizzy its out of control.
I went to Target with mum yesterday and the amount of times I had to grab onto her for balance was crazy.
I see my OB in 5 days so I will talk to him then about it.
Still spotting brown blood. Spoke to my cousin the other night, she spotted brown blood for all 3 of her babies for a few weeks.

I've been having the same thing happen, but I found that sleeping with a normal pillow and a boomerang pillow has helped a lot.
