Implantation Bleed

Hey Girls

I was just wondering to get your thoughts on something. I was on antibiotics for 5 days which ended a week ago. As of yesterday I have had very light bleeding, and again today. I am on the pill and and this bleeding has come a week early from my usual week on the pill. I am now wondering if the antibiotics has effected my pill and if this could be either implantation bleeding (which might be unlikely) or if its just a withdrawal bleed?

Just wondering what your opinions / thoughts are?

Hi there, If you have had intercourse about the time you were on Antibiotics you may very well be pregnant, unless you stopped taking the pill for a few days i dont think it would be withdrawal bleeding. Id wait another few days then do a test just to be sure.

My son was conceived after ONE antibiotic tablet messed with my pill. Good Luck i hope you get the results you are after :)

Thanks so much for your reply :). I didnt stop the pill,and did DTD while on the antibiotics. I did a test and got a BFN but I guess if it is implantation I wouldn't be getting a positive result anyways. Will try again in a few days to see.

I would be happy with a positive even though we haven't been trying. Just strange to have bleeding when it is not expected, and trying to find out why I am getting it.

So i ended up having very light bleeding for 4 days, I did a test today and it was:bfn: but I am not due for my period until monday so it might still be too early to test. The bleeding also just stopped yesterday so maybe it is still to easy to test?? I felt nauseous last night, and breast seem more tender but not sure if I am imagining these symptoms.

Just wondering any of you ladies out there that has had implantation bleeding, how long after it stopped were you able to test , and get your BFP?????

I have this strange feeling that I am pregnant but not too sure if I am just imagining symptoms???

My bleed was a tiny bit on the toilet paper & that's it. I didn't think anything of it but did do a test a few days later & nothing but when af was due I tested again & positive

I do know that when you are on the pill antis can affect the pill as well as if you are very ill.

Not too sure but I don't think implantation bleeding goes for 4 days

I watched my cycle very closely this time and I noticed when I had implantation bleeding.

It was extremely light. Much lighter than the spotting I get before AF. It lasted not even a day. Basically, it looked like my CM was slightly stained from a very light bleed, no actual blood (sorry if TMI).

The fact that implantation bleeding is a result from the egg attaching itself to the walls of your uterus would mean that 4 days of spotting would be too long, considering the egg is microscopic and the bleeding is not from the whole uterus, only from where the egg has attached itself. I hope this makes sense.

Because the antibiotics play with the pill, it might just be a bit of a breakthrough bleed from that. Obviously as you can get pregnant if you take antibiotics while on the pill it has to reduce the effectiveness and so not only could this cause pregnancy but also a breakthrough if your body is sensitive to the reduced amount of hormone actually working.

Because it was a 4 day bleed, I'd put it down to breakthrough bleeding - you may or may not get AF at the usual time - it might be a bit later or lighter again too.

I was also thinking it might be breakthrough bleeding, but because it was sooo light, not my usual cramping and resembled implantation bleeding it made me wonder. I should know in a few days which is comforting but I really appreciate everyones comments. It is always good to draw from others experience :D

I got a implantation bleed(light brown cm) I thought AF was coming but did a test that arvo it was a very faint positive,next day little more spotting did another test & it was positive,im now 30wks...so I got my positive pretty much straight away very early.
