is it possible that my ds, who is almost 3, just got his first out break of eczema?

i noticed a bit over a hour ago he had a red rash all around his neck, i just observed him to see if he was affected him. about 5-10 minutes after i realised he started scratching it. so i decided to put Nappy rash cream on it (i had no other creams to use). he still scratching. it hasn't bothered him besides the itching. and when i felt the rash it was warm (cooled down since putting cream on)

i can't think of what else it could be. and only reason i think of it is because both and my mum had eczema, mum still gets hers and mine hasn't flared up in about 10 years. but i remember mine use to itch, but not sure if it felt warm or not.

sorry if it don't make sense but i am on my mobile

Possible.

My girls were 14 months before their first brake out.

We use QV Intensive to keep them cool, moist & itch free. They end up slippery as all get out but it works

You may find you need to see a dermatologist to get an action plan in place.

I didnt get my excema until I was a teenager and my parents made me wash the dishes every night, after 3 months my hands where so craced, dried and itchy and I am also very sensitive to cortizon (spl) creams and they used to hold me down whilst they put it on my open weeping wounds (it was torture :gloomy: ) and then make me wash the dishes again

I still get break outs 12 years later from certain soaps and can not wash dishes every night without my hands becoming cracked again

DD also got her first sign of it at 3 months, 1 week after I stopped breastfeeding :crying:

he woke up last night rash was completely gone from his neck but than was on his stomach, so i opted for the Nappy rash cream again. woken up this morning and its completely gone. when/if he flares up again i'll take him to the hospital and they will get me straight into our doctor.

mine use to flare up with perfum so i avoid it altogether.
