Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) i went to my GP and he prescibed the dosage, although you can buy it over the counter, it best to consult GP to get the right dose.

There are homoeopathic treatments you can purchase as well, using them with the vitamins.

Also if you are getting dehydrated and cannot keep anything down mention that to your dr and they might have other treatments available to you.
Dehydration makes the nausea worse, if you cannot tollerate water alone making the water really icy and putting some cut lemons in it can help.

Good luck and I hope that it eases for you soon

I have tried everything!! This is my 2nd pregnancy but it just does not get any easier so this time I decided not to suffer but to try absolutley everything out there.
From your GP there is Maxolon which gave me side affects like restlessness and diahorrea and made me feel 10 times worse, im sure i felt sicker on it. So, I now take Zofran or the generic brand which is Ondestran which stops me from vomiting and takes a big edge of the nausea off. It really is great.
I ALSO get acupuncture and it works, it has given me gaps in the waves of nausea where i feel completely 'normal'. The acupunctrist has given me a bach flower remedy for MS also which i take when i feel nauseas and that works great too, you can also take as many as you want throughout the day with no harm to the baby which is great compared to prescription drugs.
I tried the acupressure bands, you can get these from the chemist. They worked at the start but as my MS got worse they wernt so good anymore.
Some people swear by ginger tea and Blackmores morning sickness tablets but these did nothing for me, worth a try though they might work for you.

Like I said i refuse to suffer and am willing to try anything for some relief! I am 11 weeks now so hopefully i only have a few weeks left of it but you dont need to suffer theres things out there to help you.
I hope this helped a little!

Sarah :)

Thanks ladies!

Currently all i can stomach is jatz biscuits (loving the salt!) and cold water. Not the most interesting of diets, but at least its staying down.

Does the tiredness ever stop?! I am struggling with work and I'm only 8 weeks through!

I suffered pretty bad morning sickness with my daughter from about 10 weeks to 16. This time it started at 5 weeks and is a lot worse. It is all day a lot of:barf:Nothing seems to work. I try one type of food and drink and then the next day i cant stomache it. Dry biscuits and iced water with lemons and water icy poles are the best but not always.

Hi Hun :hugs:

The only thing that worked for me was zofran.... and i am still on it daily now as my MS never went away (actually peaked at 20 weeks!!)

Things i tried though were:
-Ginger (fresh and tablets)
-Lemon in anything (or sucking it straight from the fruit)
-Soda water (to burp the nausea away - worked for a bit for me)
-Accupressure bands (used to work for me as a kid with travel sickness, did nothing for my MS)
-Dry Toast
-Cold Tea
-Vitb6
-Vegemite
-Blackmores MS relief
-travel sickness tablets
-Dry crackers
-Eating before getting out of bed
-eating after bed
-Accupuncture
-Heaps of water - warm and then cold (nothing worse than :barf:up cold water it is the worst feeling)
- drinking coke
- no sweets
-only sweets
-no savories
-only savories
-High carb (bland pastas rices etc)
-low carb
-High Protein
-Low Protein

I actually had to stop taking my prenatal vitamins and only take folate as i couldnt keep them down regardless of when or how i took them (they can increase MS) but once i got on the zofran it wasnt an issue as i could actually eat pretty much normally again so i didnt become deficent or anything

not sure if any of these will help u but they were things recommended to me! (i have Hyperemesis though so.....)

As for the tiredness - i have been tired my entire pregnancy but my GF (both pregnant together! Woo hoo!!) got her energy back around 12-13 weeks

Best wishes! :hugs:

I survived a week on flavoured water and frozen orange juice (I'd pour in a glass and eat it when slushy). I've been on Maxalon and Zofran - I'm still sick - nausea 24/7 but the vomiting is down to 2 - 3 times a day now (10 weeks).

I'm glad it's not just me! I thought I'd found a solution, but now that's what makes me sick!

For a few days it eased up (and I had hope) but I guess it was just a rest time, as now I am 10 times worse! Doesn't help that I am a teacher and am constantly running out of the classroom!

Still trying to find the one thing that will help me, but am trying to avoid prescriptions!

I had morning sickness very bad with my first i had it 24/7 for the first 6 months then after it died down to 1 a day.

The doctor told me to have power-aide which worked a treat for me. and once i started to drink that it started slowing right down.

I tried everything during my pregnancy and couldn't find anything to help and that was the only thing that helped.

Good luck

Frozen coke :) it's terrible but that really has been a god send to me, nothing was working maxalon was a joke, I heard someone recommend frozen raspberry but grabbed a frozen coke from maccas and it gets rid of my nausea and vomiting. Yesterday was terrible vomiting all day and no appetite but once I had the coke was able to eat and felt much better.

Have one now (normally have one a day) and no vomiting yet touch wood.

Have you tried sea bands? They go on your wrists and press on the pressure points to ease nausea. They worked wonders for me - that and mars bars :)
Hope you get some relief soon.

Maxalon really worked for me. Even just half a tablet worked wonders. Nothing else worked so I can't suggest anything else unfortunately.

Lime Cordial or Ginger Beer were the only drinks I could stomach during MS.

I had to resort to Maxalon with my first pregnancy though as I couldn't eat and could barely sip liquids without :barf:

It's aweful when you feel so sick, but it's definitely worth it in the end. Hang in there :)
