Howdy folks (thanks for getting this forum up Hillary! :) ),

What the standard immunisations for 6 month old bubs in Australia?(I know there's govt website for it but its not really up-to-date if you know what i mean)

Thomas just had his recently and he only had 3-as per BlueBook.

How many should he have?

Many thanks for the reply, I won't stay long as I'm at work.

Have a good evening!

Thanking you kindly,

Thomas'sMum

Hi ThomasMum

I'm pretty sure the six months immunisations are:
*Diptheria Tetanus Whooping Cough
*Polio
*Hep B (or can be given at 12months)
*Pneumococcal

Hope this helps,
dee dee

When bub had his 4 months I asked if he had to have as many things at the next one and she said no. Ive just checked his blue book and he had four things last time so I think it might only be three (diptheria/polio/hepB) this time. We are off next week I'll let you know then

Hi,

The ones mentioned already are correct. You won't need to do anymore til 12 months and they will be MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and Pedvax Hib (Haemophilus influenza type B)

I believe the diptheria, tetanus and pertussis are no longer recommended at 18 months which means your next ones would be when they are 4yo however you may wish to look at getting the Chickenpox vaccination down the track, meningococcal and pneumococcal.

Thanks for your geat helps, dee dee, lily81, Amy (mummajack) and melzy!

I hope he doesn't need to have another one tho. I’m not very keen to take him to the doc again; the poor lil chap still had bruises on his thighs. *sigh*

Btw Amy, yes pls, do let us know the result. Good Luck, Jack. Good Luck to your boys too lily8 *hug*

Thanks once again!
