View Full Version : I'm not a bigot
I'm just bigot curious...that is a blurb my friend has up on her FB page with a picture of Tony Abbott.
Reading that challenged my devotion to my pelvic floor exercises.
I have the sweats worried that he will get in, I dry heaved leaving the polling booth. Is anyone else absolutely freaking out?

If the Liberals win, IMO it shows either:
A. That majority of voters know nothing about the election or researching policies...
Or B. Just what type of people dominate our nation.
Either way is sucky. :(

Yeah I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'm nearly 32 and I have been thru a few elections as an adult and I'm terrified. I feel sick to the stomach and I just can't fathom how so many people have voted for that idiot. I'm feeling truely devastated that voters could give their vote to tony abbott and I'm glued to the sky news election show, praying labor gets in.
What the hell is wrong with australians???

I'm furiously txting DP about the results.. while I'm at work. DP voted for Austrlian Sex Party today
Anyway, a male colleage came over to my desk to help me out with something on my computer and my iphone flashed up with a messaged from DP. I didn't think much of it but the guy from work checked my phone thinking it was his, not sure if he read what it said before he realised it wasn't his phone or not.. but I just read the text which said:
"lol wheres the sex party in all this lol"
I wonder what he thinks of me now.. :o:laughing:

Most green preference goes to labor, they only advantaged the libs in places where greens took labor seats, which I believe is only 1.

But to benefit you would have to live right in the city which would be pretty awful imho. All the suburbs where the majority of people live have liberal or labour representation.

not necessarily. i live 6 kms from the city. don't need to live right in the CBD. the melbourne electorate covers inner citty 'burbs. i agree though, living in the CBD would suck. but inner city is luffly :D

i gotta admit, thats what got me. i am incredibly pro gay marriage and it goes against every moral fibre of my being to vote for a party who is anti gay marriage. IMO it's the worst form of blatant discrimination in the 21st century. hopefully with the greens having the balance of power in the senate we can seek some comfort knowing that if the mad monk does get in, he'll have them to contend with.
