Teething and colds

I have noticed that one of my DS is always getting colds and i have noticed he is teething.

Does anyone know if there is a direct link?

Some people say that there is, others say that there is no link between teething and colds... personally I think that there is a link - whenever my DD is teething she gets a runny nose (clear) and runny poos (they smell kind of sweetish) and has trouble settling at night.

I hate it when she is teething - I feel sorry for her as I know that any kind of toothache is a pain in the butski!
