Hi all,
so i have a friend who is in the early stages of pregnancy and hoping to find a little more support.. she is single and a little spooked about going through all of this alone for the first time, previously she has had her partner/ family present but bad family involvement and no partner means she is really feeling it at the moment. if you are looking to support someone birthing at FMC birthing suite please let me know and ill pass it on :)

best of luck with your studies!
TIA

Hi learninglovingmummy,

My name is Kim and I am a 2nd year midwifery student at Flinders University and part of our education and learning is to support women through pregnancy, birth and beyond. Involved in this is attending at least 4 antenatal appts (i do try hard to get to as many as I can to develop a rapport and professional friendship) being on call as a support person for birth and attending at least 2 postnatal appointments, but I am always available if your friend needs someone to talk to at any stage during her pregnancy.

I also am a mummy to two beautiful girls (6 & 3) and have supported women in similar situations in the past and have found it to be a positive and empowering experience for all involved.

I would be more than happy to offer your friend some support and someone to lean on during this pregnancy journey :)

If you think she might be interested in contacting me, she can do so on here by PM or email me at buts0004@flinders.edu.au. I will also PM you my mobile number if that makes it easier :)

I think your friend is very lucky to have someone like you supporting her :)
