I really need help - or just to vent - I don't know I am sooo tired.

Rebecca (who is 1 in 2 weeks) for the last 3 days has done nothing but scream.

I feed her and she screams, I cuddle her and she screams, I give her a bottle and she screams, I put her to bed and she screams, I leave the room and she screams, I let her play on the floor and she screams........ I guess you get the picture.

I have given her panandol so if it is teething I have covered that, I give her food so she can't be starving, I give her affection and cuddles so she can't be love deprived, she playes with her sister so she can't be lonely, I give her toys so she can't be bored....Again you get the picture.

I am just at the end of my teether and I just don't know what is wrong with her. I am really stressed and very tired but I am working fulltime in a busy environment. I am also trying to control a nearly 4year old who has behaviour problems.

My hubby does not know the problem either. Sometimes Rebecca will settle with him, but other times (more oftern than less) she will just scream the same with him.

I would also like to point out that she headbutted the tiled floor last night for no apparant reason and got her first bloodied nose. Ouch!!!!!!!

I have put her back in her cot now and guess what? SHE'S SCREAMING.

Daycare have also noticed this in her and I don't think they like it or her at the moment.

Sorry this is soo long - I don't know if I need advice or just to vent so I'll ask for both.

:hugs: MissU :hugs: I dont know what the problem could be, hoping someone on here does, the only thing is taking her to the doctor to get a full check done, or going to see your child health nurse. I am so sorry that I cant be very much help.

:hugs: :hugs:Hoping it gets better soon.

Hey Donna,

Firstly sending :hugs: to you woman!!!!

I would also suggest taking her to the Doctor. It could be something really small triggering it off or as you said with your other child about the behaviour probs - could be the same thing????

She isn't pulling at her ears is she??? When my little brother was screaming all the time the Doctor checked his ears and he had a full blown middle ear infection.

Hope you find the cause and it gets better for you

My DS is like this... its so hard so firstly :hugs: to you

secondly i would go see a Gp and have a full health check

thirdly if doc says he cant find anything go to a chiro

i just started taking DS to the chiro and his lower spine and pelvis was out ! so now we are going a few times to get him "re-aligned"
already his demeanor has improved !!

Good luck

Hi Donna,

Big :hugs: to you. I would get her checked out at the doctors.

If they cannot find anything, maybe a urine sample wouldn't hurt to check if she has a urine/kidney infection. My daughter had one when she was 1 year old and the doctors kept on telling me that she is just teething. Finally after a couple of weeks of visiting the doctor every couple of days, i requested a urine test and it came back positive straight away. After a course of antibiotics, she was a different child.

I now always get her checked if she is unwell and the doctor cannot pin-point anything wrong just to be sure.

Hope things improve for you soon.

Janet.

I agree with the others, take her to the docs to get checked out.
In the mean time... has their been any dietary changes either at home or daycare such as just gone onto cows milk? (Or anything else, that is just an example) Or is she getting enough sleep?

MissUnderstood - Hugs to you! :hugs: I can understand how hard it is...Oliver has been screaming and screaming and SCREAMING the past week.....same as your dear daughter. No matter what I do, it wasnt right. He is teething and was also reacting to the formula I had introduced (I think)....

On last monday I had to put him down and walk away and just let him cry. I felt so awful, but I was at the end of my teather too.

Definately go to the Dr. I took Mr O to the CHN and Dr. They couldnt help, but they did get me t hinking about what was new and I figured it might have been the formula.

is there anything you have newly introduced to your daughters diet that could be causing a reaction = pain = screaming?

Thank-you to everyone for their support and suggestions.

I took Bec to the dr's last night and he checked her out from head to toe and said there is nothing wrong with her.

He puts it down to teething - I am not that convinced though.

Anyways she's still screaming but hey she is in her cot so hopefully she will cry herself to sleep. :fingerscrossed:

Donna i am sorry the visit to the doctors didnt help...

I just wanted to suggest again the Chiro, the difference in my DS is astounding !

There are lots of great places around now that have people who do "baby chiro" its not at all like when they "crack" us !!
Perhaps do some research and see what you think

I was also going to suggest the chiropractor. They will pick up something the doctor has missed. She might need a little adjustment. She may have a pounding headache, jaw ache or back ache and can't tell you.

Doctors are USELESS. Since being pregnant and in the last three weeks of motherhood I have completely lost faith in them.

Thank-youso much everyone from the bottom of my heart for all your suggesstions, hugs, and concerns.

Bec has slightly improved - now a bearable scream (if there is anything like that lol).

At least when she isn't screaming she is sleeping so that's gotta be good.

:hugs:
