Ques. about opk's

Ok, I am suppose to ovulate on the 24th, but I am irregular so really it could happen at anytime. I have had negative opk's for last 2 days( only control line had a line) Now today I have a negative opk, but there is a line in the test window but it is lighter than the control window. I know that is a negative result but does it mean that I am fixing to have an Lh surge and will see a positive soon? And should I test again later today so I don't miss it? I am new to opk's I used them in the past but never got a positive as I wasn't ovulating regularly then. I do have the cm and everything that points to ovulation right now. Any help would be great!

it should mean that you are going to o soon, or you have just missed the surge, as it could have happened during the night too :fingerscrossed:

If you have been testing the same time every day, then you shouldn't have missed your surge (unless you have an unusually short one). Just keep checking and you should notice it get darker. But if you're getting EWCM, I'd say you can start BDing!

Totally agree with Chicken, get to the BDing whenever you have the EWCM.:yes: OPKs just don't seem to work for some people. I gave up on them after 2 cycles, and just went by the CM and am now pregnant, so it is as good a method as any IMO.:)

Thanks ladies! Thats kind of what I thought. I just really wanted to see a positive opk because I would like to confirm I am ovultaing because I have long and irregular cycles.

Hi, I was just so exited I had to post. I finally got a positive opk!! I haven't been sure that I was ovulating and so I tetsed this month just to see and it is definately positve today! What a relief, I really want to concieve this month but even if I don't, I fell so much better knowing my body is doing what it should.:smiliedance:
