How often do you change your bubs nappy?

I'm just curious as to what everyone does?

I tend to change Oli's nappy every couple of hours during the day, and then he goes down at 7pm and I dont change it until we start the day at 7am....unless its dirty not just wet.

It took me 4 months to get over changing it at night though!!!!

How often does everyone else do it? Do I do it too often, not often enough, or the normal? There is no manual that says what is right....I'm curious!

Never at night unless it's really full or dirty. During the day.....every 3hrs.

I do it at each feed (well, I did until last week - now I do it every few hours because otherwise he pees right through his jumpsuit). I still change him at night but I do it before a feed so it doesn't wake him up. I guess I go through about eight to ten nappies a day. Once he's in the next size up, I'll probably let him go a bit longer between nappies. Oh, if I can smell a really nasty poo, I'll do it right there and then! Even if I've just changed him five mins ago!

I change DD's whenever it's wet. If she's i cloth then it's about 2-3hourly but if we are out and she's in sposies then anywhere up to 5hrs :o

DD goes to bed between 6:30pm - 7pm and I don't change her til about 7:30am, sometimes later if she sleeps in. She sleeps in cloth some nights, sposies other nights.

We do it after every feed, but recently, I've noticed, the afternoon nappy is really light, so I skip that and just change it when she has a bath a couple of hours later. So, anywhere between 3 and 5 nappies a day, or more if she does a poo in between changes. It really doesn't seem like much when I think about it, I hope DD is all right, she drinks and eats really well, don't know why she doesn't go more often:confused:

My ds gets his changed every 3 hours, he goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps right through til about 8am and then i change him as soon as he wakes up.
When they were little though if it was night time i would change them before a feed but otherwise it was roughly every 3 hours.

I was just about to reply when I read born2bemummy's post & it was almost exactly what I was going to say!

I only ever now change DD's nappy after a nap, or straight away once she's done a poo. She doesn't seem to need it changed more frequently than that. If she skips a nap, or goes down a bit later I will often give her a change just to be sure & so that she can sleep in a fresh nappy.

DD1 gets changed around 4hrly through the day and then goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up at 8:30am and gets changed straight away, only changed through the night if shes dirty, she never fills it that much through the night!

DD2 we change 2-3hrly which is when she feeds, same through the night as she feeds like that 24/7 :)

Every 3 - 4 hours during the day, last change is at 7pm and the morning one is at 8am. When we tried changing it once at 6am it was dry as a bone then suddenly the waterworks started. It was like a scene from Austin powers :laughing:

we do it every feed so 3-4 hourly during the day and usually an 11-12 hour stint over night. I used to have to change it through the night,when he was waking as he used to pee more at night then during the day but now he has eased up and can go all night....most of the time. His overnight nappy is never really wet anymore but the 1st morning change is full. and if he poos between i'll change it then.

i change tyler when ever she is wet or poo i normally change her 10 times a day sometimes more,, i normally go throught any where between 70-90 nappies a week,,

i would much rather her be dry and not in a wet nappie,,

Same as you Kat, every two hours never at night unless we have poopies, but in the mornings she is a pee machine it's crazy!!

Of a day every 3-4 max of 5 hrs. Or as soon as i notice its wet/dirty.

Of a night not till morning unless it leaks.
