Hair lines - crowns

Hey just wondering

My boys have different hairlines

first born is a single crown
second born is a double crown

and I was talking to a pharmacist at work today and her girls are the exact same
first a single
second a double

And they have been geneticly tested as being identical ( which I thought was odd)

but just wondering for fun if any twinnies are the same out there?

I'm pretty sure both my boys have a single crown, but I can explain a little bit as to why this happens.

When the egg splits, the DNA in each new egg are exactly the same. But it's not odd for some to 'morph' a tiny little bit- resulting in a double crown here, a dimple there etc etc. It's why I believe the term 'identical twins' to be misleading, and prefer to refer to them as monozygotic twins (meaning one egg :))

This is how you can also get mz bg twins- EXTREMELY rare, but not unheard of :D
