Hi, I got my GK contour newborn hemp nappies..yay...i put them on DS but they soaked through and didnt absorb and gave DS a bit of a wet rash....does that mean i need to wash them some more before i use them again or is that the way they are? I assumed they would not be wet as everything would soak into the hemp, just heavy from the weeing??

How many times did you wash the hemp prior to using?
Hemp can take up to 10 washes to reach a good absorbancy level.
You may also need to boost the nappy if your little one is a big piddler.

i only washed them 3 times...so might need to keep washing for a few more. I will try with the booster too, thanks!

Give them another 3 good HOT HOT washes !!!
This will help them absorb more & get them going but yeah as CLM said they take up to 10 washes or so to be fully absorbant !
