Hi everyone
I have two gorgeous little girls, 2 and almost 4 and until 4 and a bit months ago was in a horrible relationship for 7 years, since I was 17 and married for five. I have since walked and out shockingly and quite scary for me, I have fallen in love with an exs friends ex husband and we have been dating for almost 4 months, I have known him for 7 years as well and he actually asked me out before my ex-friend but I was with ex already, anyway, it is a great relationship and we have decided to move intogether, and he has two children who I have been arounf since they were born a girl, same age as dd2 and a son who is 9 months younger then dd1 so two and 4.

Anyone who has a blended family it would be great to get advice, the children are used to me, and I spend all the time their father has them with them, so we are used to being together, but not really with my girls yet.

Also anyone in Perth who would like to meet up would be great as I am at a complete loss as to how to deal with this new stage of my life.

Ps ex and dps ex no each other and are all happy with the sitiuation, as both have new partners as well.

Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie,

I'm new to the whole blended family thing too. DF has 3 and I have 1 so together we have 4. And one on the way. It's something to get your head around for sure. We've been living together for about 6 months and just take it one weekend (when we have the kids) at a time. I guess the main thing I've had to realise is that our family is different, but that is still OK. And the kids adapt very easily to it and accept that different things happen at different houses.

Just realise how lucky you are that all ex's are happy all round. That must be a huge stress relief.

Hope it works out :)
