i dont know when we will start ours, most likely around the 12 week mark, we are going to have a jungle theme border with green suede paint on the bottom portion of the wall, we have chocolate brown carpet so im going to buy a gorgeous shagpile rug for the room - possibly mocha colored!

The Furniture i want:

1. Boori Sleigh Cot (all stained i think in medium brown) may settle for an imo one of ebay?
2. Boori Matching Change Table
3. Chest of Draws possibly elcheapo and then ill get it stained the same as the other furniture
4. Boori Matilda Cradle - all the trimmings - so cute! same about the imo on ebay...

i dont know what pram yet, i love the beema q, and i love the bertini shuttle, man this baby business is going to get expensive!! i estimate the nursery to cost around the $3000.00 mark.... what do you girls think?

i think we will just put everything on layby at one store, hopefully they will give us a discount for buying it all at once!

Oh so exciting!

wow, I have never believed in spending that much money, I am a bit believer in second hand stuff, and or ikea lol. Dont think I will start our nursery until I am closer to the 6-8 months mark, it means shifting my other two together, and moving a massive wardrobe in our room, that way we have a nursery off our bedroom, sounds all good in theory, but not looking forward to the hassle of moving everything.

i do hope that the cost i estimated will include the pram tho (:fingerscrossed:). My parents and dh's parents have offered to help aswell, which will lift some burden a little bit. This is our first child and i hope to use all the furniture again for the second and third (if we go that far). :p

Ohh, I remember the excitment of setting up Ellie's nursery.

This time, it will be all from what we have. Well not what WE had (because we sold Ellie & Heidi's beautiful Boori cot & changetable & bassinet :(). Luckily, DH folks also got a cot so we are going to grab that one as they have had it in storage.

I'm not using a changetable ..... I'll use the single bed that will also be in the nursery.

There already a cute nursery set up here - the people we bought the house off had a baby ... they decorated with the same paper border that we had for Heidi !! All I need to do is set up the furniture.

We have an emmalunga pram which I'm borrowing from a close friend (our pram is more stroller for an older bub).

But, I'm not going to start setting anything up until after Christmas ... Mum and Dad are coming for Christmas so I'll keep the nursery set up as a spare room until then.

I'm looking forward to 'babyfying " it though ... haven't done that in 4 years .... we've spent the past 6 years making their rooms 'older' each year, getting rid of all the baby stuff :)

ohhhhhh Im so jealous.

I wont get to have a nursery, as I live in japan. My house is two rooms :(. I dont even have a vanity in my bathroom. They are very literal here its actually a bathroom, a room with a bath and nothing else. There arent many western style houses where I live.

what we have started doing is moving furniture around and deciding what to freecycle so we can fit what we need in. Ikea here had nothing but a changetable for newborns. And I cant fit that in my house. :(

ohhhhh jealous.:gloomy:

Well we are moving house in 6 weeks, so that will make me 11 weeks preg.

We will find out the sex of the baby so we will know what colour to paint.

The room the new baby is going to have is already blue, but if its a girl we will go pink.

DD's cot and stuff will be given to baby #2 because we hope she will be in a big girl bed when he/she is born.

mamesmumma we are also living in a 2 bedroom apt. and will be moving o/s a few months after bubs is here. So no nursery here either - just somewhere to sleep and a bath, anything else I must have???

I think for a couple of months a bassinette will be all you need. I actually bathed my kids in the sink until they got too big for it, found that much easier than filling a babybath.
Where are you moving to?
