It was DSs birthday party on the weekend (his birthday today) and we had a special cake made up for him by a chocolatier here in Perth. He is totally obsessed with Bumblebee from Transformers and I just wanted to share it because I thought it was absolutely amazing!

Wow that is amazing!!! I am already looking for DD birthday and that wedding cake icing looks good but tastes gross!! I would LOVE something like this!! Arrrrgghh ofcourse you are on the other side of the country!!

He is seriously the best.
It was a beautiful light white mudcake with the nicest ganache I have ever had. He also makes croquembouches maybe you could look into one of those?

You should see his room. I'll take a photo and upload it. I dont think anyone realises how obsessed he really is with Transformers. He got all of the big toys for his bday and his reactions were priceless.

:laughing: haha it's amazing Bek!! I have been trying to find someone down here to do a birthday cake for DD but alas I can't find a sole. I have to try and make one myself. Eeek.

DP loves it too its like having 2 little kids because they sit down and watch it together and "play" together haha.

aww lucky boy. i love it when kids get really excited, its priceless (well, not literally :laughing:).

As I said he got every one of those big toys for his birthday from us and family and yesterday at the shops DP saw a new one and he was BEGGING me to get it hahaha. I said NO! Then they both did the awwwww mummmm thing :rolleyes:

That's awesome... All though I don't know how safe that chocolate would have been around me lol :o I think if my kids had a cake like that I'd be about 5kg heavier the next day it looks so hard to resist.
