A friend of mine has a reflux baby, and it's making me think back to when DD was brand new and had reflux. And it's making me realise the chances of having a second reflux baby are very high... and I'm worried about how I'll cope.
I want to breastfeed, but I found it so hard with DD and her reflux. I don't want to co-sleep again and neither does DH, but I couldn't sleep any other way last time. I'm just so worried about how we'll cope, especially with already having one.
How have other mums coped when their second baby also has reflux?
My DD has reflux and the first 6 weeks were so difficult for me until she was started on Losec then it improved dramatically. She is my first child but I think if I had another baby with reflux I would be so much more aware of the signs and symptoms and would get help straight away rather than think it was something I was doing wrong.
I think you are probably stronger than you realise having been through it before. Hopefully you won't even have to worry about it and your second bub will be reflux free.

Both my boys were/are refluxers. My second being a lot worse than the first, at 9mths I am just starting to see good improvement. Just take it one day at a time, you will find no.1 will usually want to help with the new bub. And dare I say it, the only way DS2 would sleep well was on his tummy, the only way we all kept sane.
I have heard that if you want to avoid reflux again, you can try excluding certain things from your diet when pregnant, might be worth researching.
