What is the deal if you wish to become a surrogate?

Is there certain things I need to do to have my name "put down" as a surrogate? And if so, is there a place in WA in which I can do this?

Matching agencies are illegal in Aust - that would mean someone is making money from surrogacy and thats commercial surrogacy but forums like this will get you in contact with like minded people.

Think of things like this:
How far are you willing to travel, to doctors, to birth?
How much will you tolerate the parents telling you how they want you to live your life while you're 'babysitting' their miracle?
Do you have the support of your family?
What are your feelings on tests like ultrasounds and amniocentesis?
What are your opinions on termination on medical grounds?
Does your GP think you're healthy enough for another pregnancy?

There is no correct answeres to any of the above because we're all different, but you'll want your new friends to be on the same page.
