I know Jasper had a completely crazy bizarre - no I will not sleep!!! - night and was up till 4:30 am :barf: :crying:

But basically in the last few days I've dropped his day sleep. He had a short nap yesterday - just a little tiny one to get him through and he did stay up a little later - but on no day sleep he goes down around 7pm and I wake him at 9:30.

Yes he co sleeps and nuzzles booby every now and then I remember glancing at the clock 3 times most nights when he's broken my sleep for a moment (though honestly I probably did that before I was pregnant) but it's actually lovely!

Now,,, should I post and jinx it or not?!?!?,

Oh should add his day sleep has NEVER been good or a break as he sleeps 45 minutes and wakes and then sleeps the rest of the time on my lap. But now he plays SSSOOO well without needing me that I get to rest enough and I couldn't use his naps to 'get stuff done as I was literally pinned to the couch. In some ways it's easier on me' - on my lower back at least! On my bladder! To have him not sleep during the day.

I'd LOVE to have had a child who slept 2 hours from 12-2 and then 7-7 but it didn't happen so time to move on ;)

Just had to laugh at the bladder part...My DS sleeps on me during the day and I have to think about the best times to drink so I dont end up busting!

Yep! Haha it's a fine balance drinking enough to not faint but not so much you need to pee with a heavy weight resting on your bladder.

Ive also discovered while I can pee holding him I can't pull my knickers up - haha

I agree. DS is driving me batty at the moment with his sleep routine and he's a million times easier than your little monkey. I with I had your patience, if it wasn't for DH helping I'd be rocking myself in the corner!!

Hope it continues to go well...

we should start a thread about things you cant do while your children are sleeping on you...

Mine is, I cant put wood on the fire. DD woke up after 20 minutes yesterday so I let her lay on me, after 20 minutes I was done, so I rolled her to one side to chagne to telly channel before I got up and in that 20 seconds, she fell asleep and I knew the fire needed wood.....gggggggggggrrrrrrr.... so i panicked for the next 30 minutes she was asleep on me, holding on to my collar, that the fire would go out!!!

Lucky it didnt!!

phew, sorry to hijack with my story!!!!

Hope it keeps working!!

Things you can't do while your baby is sleeping on you? I have a tonne of those.

One of my more recent and annoying ones - stop the puppy from biting your feet because if you say 'no' too loudly or move too quickly you'll wake the baby! Ow, owwww, owwwwwww while whispering 'no, no, no, bad puppy!'

Hope you didn't jinx yourself and you have another good night. :)

Oh and i was talking to dp and decided I have till the 21st of august to night wean Jasper.

I want a stress free bday party (mine) so even though we'll keep cosleeping I'm thinking tomorrow night I'll put on skivvy, hold onto Jasper and tell him I love him but not bf.

*deep breath* I have till 21st of this month to do it.

Seeing as I was sick enough I couldn't swallow water let alone alcohol on my 20th, 6 months pregnant on my 21st, had a demand fed 9 month old on my 22nd I kind of want to enjoy my 23rd - seeing as I plan to have a newborn on my 24th ;)
