Hi all
Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced around 15 weeks pain in the abdomen? I have had it constantly for just over 24 hours now. It kind of feels crampy, yet sore and sometimes like a stitch. I rang my OB office this morning and they just said it was probably just the baby moving up and out of the lower area. I also went and had a urine test just in case it was a bladder infection but that was all ok.
I started with a pain in my siatica (back) which I also had with my son when I was pregnant. I remember stretching pains but this seems different.
If anyone has had the same, let me know, or if you know how to ease the pain at all? Is it ok to use heat packs on your tummy??
Thanks everyone

It could be ligament stretching around your beautiful growing tummy. Heat packs are fine, in fact they're a brilliant idea in labour so you can get some practice in early :D Have you seen an osteopath or chiropractor to check that your pelvis is aligned? It could also be early Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction where the bones come apart. It can be painful but it's not a huge deal. Here's some info in case that's what it is.

If you feel at any time that something isn't right, go straight to your careprovider. Otherwise take it easy and rest as much as you can. HTH

Have you been doing any lifting, or extra physical activaties?
Sounds like you may have over done things and need to rest more.
I hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm nearly 23 weeks and get these sort of pains all the time. If it wasn't my third time around I'd be panicking, but I'm learning that when I'm either constipated or have diahorrea the pains are so similiar to menstrual cramps/labour pains.
I always find the best thing to do is rest with a hot water bottle on my back and drink lots of water, so that if it is the back end I can help to get things moving a bit quicker. Seems to work.

I am so glad I saw this thread. babytoo - this is exactly how I have been feeling the past day or so and was trying to figure out if I should worry or not, but I am feeling reassured by the responses to your post. This is my first so I have no idea if these aches and pains are normal or if what I am feeling in what you are meant to be feeling. I am at 16 weeks, (I am due 26th Feb) and I feel like I am at that stage where I had my most recent ob appointment just over two weeks ago so don't have my next one until late next week and my 19 week scan isn't until the 30th of this month and as it is a bit too early for me to feel bub moving around, I am feeling a bit anxious! It is so reassuring to jump on to bubhub and see other people are asking the questions I have been wondering about! Mine feels a little sorer if I press into a certain spot on my stomach - does anyone else get that too???
Cheers!

Yeah my scan is on the 29th and I haven't seen my ob in 4 weeks....I see him the day after my scan. It's so reassuring at the appointments and 6 weeks will be a long haul between visits...I want to see him now just for reassurance! My pains have all but gone with the occassional stitch....I feel like my tummy has shrunk in size but I think I was bloated until the baby popped out of that really low position when all the aches started
