This is the longest I've ever BF :)

Just wanted to share, some of you will know the challenges I faced BFing Vallerie, well I just realised that Curtis is now 15 1/2 weeks old, and when Vallerie was this old she had stopped being exclusively BF. She stopped feeding from the breast at 14 weeks. So I'm really proud and excited to say that Curtis is now the oldest baby I've ever fed from my breast. :smiliedance:
Vallerie went full-time to formula at 17 weeks :crying: so in 2 1/2 weeks time I will be back here crowing about how Curtis is the oldest baby I've ever BF at all.


It might sound silly to some :o but this is such an emotional and important issue to me. I can't beleive how this time has flown! It's because it's been so wonderfully easy this time around.

Congratulations!! its such a great achievement.

I was told that i wouldnt be able to bf at all, then went on to have huge problems with DS, however i was able to bf up until 8 months and have never been more proud of anything.

I am at the same point with Ariene too Queenie, she's my oldest bf bub by two days! Isn't if fantastic? I'm finding that I'm more passionate about b/feeding the longer I go.
Curtis will be running up to you asking for a feed, or booby (or bitty if you're familiar with one very hilarious UK comedy) in no time! :smiliedance: And in the meantime, you're encouraging to others to feel the same which is tops :thumbsup:

LOL Emma that's exactly what we call it - Bitty!! I'm trying to teach him how to sign for it too, before I feed I sit him up and make the sign while saying "BITTY ! BITTY! BITTY!" :laughing:


Thanks everyone, I am sometimes a bit hard on myself about stuff, but I'm very happy to stand up and say I'm very proud of myself (and Curtis) right now. I'm so thankful that it's all going smoothly.
