Usually its two at a time.
Here's (http://www.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/zm2755.asp) a basic outline
you never know with kids..
my DS got his two bottom teeth together.. but it presently getting THREE top teeth at the same time (two fangs and a front tooth) ... so .. each baby makes up their own rule..
just a note - my DH got his fangs before his front teeth (which made him look .. well .. freaky) - so I'm glad that DS is getting THREE at the same time ... lol

Thanks guys. I think Oliver is letting his lateral insisors first. :( That is where the bumps are....he's screaming and screaming.... :(

beth had to be different from the norm too. she got her 2 top teeth first at 10 months. now at 12 months she just got her first tooth on the bottom. the one next to it is trying to come through too. sometimes you can see it sometimes you can't it. it has been going up and down for the past 3 weeks.

my dd2 got her two bottom teeth together, two canine teeth together and then the two top front teeth, she has just got an extra tooth down the bottom, but the matching tooth hasn't come through yet, and now she is getting 4 molars all at once, and she isnt a good teether, gets very upset and wants cuddles all the time, poor thing, but no wonder it must hurt like crazy, i just had my first wisdom tooth come through and it hurt..... my first daugher however, you wouldnt even have known she was teething until you saw and felt them come through the gums, she was great.........................my friends lil one has had teeth popping up all over the place, two have never come through together............
my dd just started teething and her bottom 2 just started coming up although onehas cut through 1st i can see the one next to it not far behind.

Yep, it definately looks like Olivers 2 lateral insisors at the front are coming thru. The one of the left looks like its soooo close to breaking thru, but goodness knows. He's young to be teething so I guess it could take weeks yet. :(
another def. YES here... our latest edition aka bubby :) gets them in twos all the time....

My little DD had her first tooth come through down the bottom front at 6 months. The second did not come through until 8 months and came up to the surface, then went down again, then up.. then down.. then FINALLY broke through! She has had no more teeth come through since but I suspect that something is happening as she is getting her 'teething' poops..
I thought DS's two bottom teeth were coming through together but only one has come through and that was two weeks ago, but now it looks like three are coming through together, the top two and the other bottom one. But who knows lol they are all so different lol
